Poll question: If Dennis Kucinich's bill to impeach the DICK gets out of committee and on the floor... |
|
of the house and is approved by the Democratic congress. Do you think Dennis deserves to get the Democratic nomination?

3. No: he handled his UFO sighting extremely irresponsibly. |
|
There was no attempt on his part to report what he saw to the FAA or Air Force, even years after the sighting. It could have been a spy drone from the Soviet Union for all we know. Either that or he lied through his teeth or something. Not exactly presidential qualities.

|
by pointing out what "unidentified" flying object is .. duh .. unidentified. who knows what it was.
and esp. by pointing out that more people believe in UFO's than support Bush/Cheney blood-for-oil ME wars.

16. I am not saying that he said he saw space aliens. |
|
But if he did not think they were space aliens, they could be enemy military technology, and he should have reported it. Has he said that he has done that?

The very fact that anyone, esp. the MSM, wants to make this "The Big Issue" with regard to Kucinich's candidacy says more about them (and you apparently) than it does about Kucinich.

|
who are looking for some kind of "gotcha" issue to pin on a truly honorable man, who's standing up for the Constitution when all or most (at least) other politicians are ducking tough issues and enabling the criminals in the WH.

Do you know how much our space budget is? Do you know how many people work for NASA, and how hard it is to be one of the ones who can do so? Do you know how much someone would like to be part of discovering life on other planets?
Even bigger: do you know how much we spend trying to gather intelligence on weapons which could be used against us?
These are small issues??!! If Kucinich considers them small, then he definitely should not be president.

30. Well, yes. Of course THOSE are ALL important issues |
|
But don't you think, to be fair to Kucinich, you shouldn't ASSUME a) that he didn't report the sighting (we don't really know), b) that he doesn't agree with you that these are important issues .. all from a brief exchange with a moderator during a debate, where the moderator at least was in the "gotcha" mode with his question. That's all I'm saying.

|
You make laugh... and gag at the same time...
Dennis Kucinich handled that question VERY professionally. Other Presidents, astronauts, pilots, all type of people from all walks of life have claimed to see a UFO. If he had denied it, they would be calling him a LIAR and smearing him to this day. As it stands, they haven't said much about it at all, have they? He stood on his honor and principles and TOLD THE TRUTH. I'm sorry some of you seem to have a problem with the truth...

Just that alone is far, far more than any of the "frontrunners" have even bothered to consider.
And get a clue: The "Democratic" Congress will not ever approve articles of impeachment. They are too cowardly, too fraudulent, too REPUBLICAN to do it.

13. No. I don't think someone 'deserves' receiving the nomination as a result of |
|
a single action (even though I think this single action is ENORMOUSLY important). And this is not saying Dennis has only done this ONE thing - he's responsible for many courageous actions. I may have misinterpreted the meaning of your question, though.

41. This won't be a Clinton-style Impeachment but an |
|
impeachment of substance.
The investigations will put things on the record and the Congress people and Senators will have to go on the record for the citizens and the historical record. This is valuable in and of itself. Also it is a small step in rebuilding our reputation as a nation of laws.

32. Since we're making up unrealistic hypotheticals, sure. |
|
But the odds of that happening are close to zero. Its not completely out of the question that there will be a hearing, the focus of which will partially be on the substance of DK's resolution and partially on what the appropriate next step would be. The best that could be expected from that hearing would be the drafting of a new resolution, to be introduced by someone other than DK (probably COnyers and others on the Committee) proposing that the full House authorize the Committee to conduct an inquiry and report back with recommendations regarding the adoption of specific articles of impeachment. But again, even that happening is a very very long shot at this point.
