Flame me if you must, but this is primary season and the time for in-fighting. We need to be strong as we come through the primaries with the best bet to beat the republicans and take back our country. This post infers nothing, but simply shows a handful of pictures.

Clickie

Imagine me and you I do

I think about you day and night

It's only right

To think about the girl you love

And hold her tight

So happy together

If I should call you up invest a dime

And you say you belong to me

And ease my mind

Imagine how the world could be

So very fine

So happy together

I can see me lovin' nobody but you

For all my life

When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue

For all my life

Me and you and you and me

No matter how they toss the dice

It had to be

The only one for me is you

And you for me

So happy together

I can see me lovin' nobody but you

For all my life

5. These pics are worth a million words
The Clintons have had their noses up the asses of the Bushes for a long time now and there is a reason. The Bush Crime Family have chosen the next President a.k.a. Hillary because they know their fat ass other son could never be elected this time. But next, it will be Jebbie's turn an so on and so forth. Let's keep the corporatists ruling, those who love free trade and endless wars and health care by HMOs. The Bushes don't care who is President as long as their policies are carried out and the Clintons are willing subjects.

Hillary was born and bred a Repuke and will always be one. Nothing will change if she is elected, the war will continue and the corporations will rule.

Look at them in these pictures - could any one of you act this way?

84. Clinton does not hate
Bill Clinton does not have a mean bone in his body said David Maraniss the historian after extensive study of his life.

His entire life has been one of wanting to do good for all people.

He loved being president. He had spent his entire adult life studying governance and was expert at it.

His only weakness was zipper control.

10. No
your post infers nothing, but it implies a political connection that simply isn't there.

It's not unusual that you could find pictures of two former presidents together, or a former president and a former first-lady, or a former president and/or first lady with with the current president, or a current US Senator with the current President.

I can find pics of just about every member of congress with Bush - does it mean their all on the same side?

Just more lame bullshit in the absence of substantive argument.

73. You know, I specifically recall Al Gore speaking out against the war and
against the bush administrations actions but for whatever reason I don't recall Bill Clinton speaking out forcefully against the war or against specific actions of the bush administration.

I remember Carter speaking fairly plainly about bush, but not Bill Clinton.

Am i wrong here?

I'm googling but not finding anything of any substance.

So while Bill may not be on the same side, he sure isn't making it clear. It leaves a person wondering what side he's on.

These aren't facts--they're just images without labels, thus depriving us, the onlooker, of any context.

Wanna see a great picture of Kucinich posing for pictures with Bush? Look at my other post below. And this was right before they had tea and scones together, and went on a two-seated bike ride through the park!

Meanwhile, FDR shares a private joke with best pal Josef Stalin:

106. I used to have a great sense of humor..............
I haven't done much laughing for the last 7 years!
It's not too funny when you are trying to finish 3 paintings to complete a calendar people want to buy, before the dollar devalues further and I lose my buyers.
It has been dreadfully interrupted by having to make a 30 mile round trip to fill a 2 gallon can of diesel fuel to keep my heater running during 15-20 degree temps, until the LIHEAP funds are FINALLY released and I can get a fill up.
NO, on $28.00 a day, I can't buy it for myself. 78 BILLION JUST this year has been stolen from the SS amount collected this year. and passed on to the Treasury Dept. Did that fund those helicopters that plumet out of the sky in hot weather? Has it been going to Pakistan, Turkey, Israel, Venezuela to unseat Chavbez ( who generously GAVE me and 16,000 others in NE last winter.) That was YOUR retirement money. There IS a problem with Social Security! It's called blatent theft!
If there is ANY person in this USA who is capable of spinning income out of the thin air, it's me! I have been doing it for 40 years. ( And with penache!) I started my first business at age 12! ANd earned $25.00. That was good money in 1951! IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE!!!
Hillary FAILED to forsee the invasion, OR CHOSE NOT to stop it! I DID see it coming! What is wrong with her vision, when a 61 year old in a rural area could see this all coming, and she missed it.
I know....who the hell am I? Why should you listen to me? I've lived with me for 68 years, and I TRUST my instincts.
A picture is worth a thousand words..............believe the ones you see at the top!
:bounce:
:puke: this is how I feel about the huge campaign funds to Hillary while I suffer from the cold.

I'm no Clinton apologist, but it's not hard to find pictures of decent people stading next to not-so-decent people, especially in the world of politics--if you want, I can show you a swell picture of FDR getting chummy with his best buddy Josef Stalin, right %3Fv%3D1%26c%3DViewImages%26k%3D2%26d%3DBEDFE2929D4DA765BB409D4FE9C79797A55A1E4F32AD3138&imgrefurl=http://www.viewimages.com/Search.aspx%3Fmid%3D3137280%26epmid%3D1%26partner%3DGoogle&h=420&w=594&sz=36&hl=en&start=3&sig2=PgGqES1lUyopQYsKYXIurQ&um=1&tbnid=Qsalet-eeclA-M:&tbnh=95&tbnw=135&ei=-7o3R7D4HZnQgQLpxujaDA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfdr%2Bhandshake%2Bstalin%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DN">here.

Besides, one reason why there are several pictures of Bush I and Clinton together is because of the work they did to raise money for the victims of the 2004 tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, which is one of the only decent things 41 ever did in his life. But nooooo, let's get a lot pictures with the two of them (+son and wife) together to make some idiotic, grand-standing point about nothing.

Yeesh, some of you people are knee-jerky.

37. You said: "there are several pictures of Bush I and Clinton together
is because of the work they did to raise money for the victims of the 2004 tsunami"
These pictures have nothing to do with that. They have plainly stated they are friends. Any friend of a bush is highly suspect. Would you want to be their friend?

And someone goes--hey, Clinton! Bush! Let's get a picture!

What's Clinton going to do? Act childish and ruin the entire event?

On Edit: Maybe this is the one the pictures came from? They raised $1.8 million dollars off that event alone.

63. Guess that Jimmy Carter doesn't play golf. You also won't find photos of him being chummy with Bush
I also did a Google image search, and there's nothing there except official "ex-president" photo op type shots of Carter with either Bush.

No, the Bushs and Clintons are close. They've kept each other out of jail close.

86. Kept clinton- bush out of jail
Sir, would you care to list more than ONE
person who was CONVICTED of a FELONY which was committed while WORKING FOR President Clinton!

List me some names and crimes. Come on.

clarenceswinney@bellsouth.net

The GAO listed $110,000,000 spent by Newt's Congress on Hearings and Investigations in an effort to destroy the administration.

Newt said this in 1994--"If we take Congress we will investigate every decision made by this administration".

The Conservanuts were heart broken to lose the presidency for it had enriched them.

They attacked everything done by the administration with falsehoods and much deception.

They became EVIL.

Lee Atwater admitted his part in it.

Rove took his place as Goering.

They used silly Whitewater as the platform from which to launch attacks.

Whitewater was a simple purchse of 210 acres of land for $200,000 to sell lots.
Jim McDougal had made much money doing it until Reagan Depressive Recession hit in 1981-1982.

In case you do not recall real estate tanked during that time.

OH! I hate to mention that Reagan had 245 investigated by Justice and OIC(not congress) and 137 were charged with crimes.

Reagan 137 was more than grand total for all presidents preceding him in 20th century. Quite a group.

95. No question about the Mena Airport and the crimes of President G.H.W. Bush's CIA.
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 03:07 PM by leveymg
Convictions are beside the point when the crimes occur as a result of CIA covert operations. In addition to the late Gary Webb's outstanding work into Iran-Contra, and activities in Arkansas that touched the Clintons, also, see, Secrecy & Privilege: The Rise of the Bush Dynasty from Watergate to Iraq, by Robert Parry. 390 pages

Tracing investigative leads back through three decades, Secrecy & Privilege explores the mystery of how the two George Bushes rose to the pinnacle of American political power - and what the rise of their dynasty has meant to the nation's democratic principles.

Here are a few more sources about what went on at Mena:

"If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched."

-- George Bush, cited in the June, 1992 Sarah McClendon Newsletter

George Bush with legendary CIA agent Felix Rodriguez a.k.a. "Mr. Gomez" who ran the Mexican portion of the Iran-Contra guns and drug running operation.

"I have put thousands of Americans away for tens of thousands of years for less evidence for conspiracy with less evidence than is available against Ollie North and CIA people. . . . I personally was involved in a deep-cover case that went to the top of the drug world in three countries. The CIA killed it."
Former DEA Agent Michael Levine
CNBC-TV, October 8, 1996

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The connections piled up quickly. Contra planes flew north to the U.S., loaded with cocaine, then returned laden with cash. All under the protective umbrella of the United States Government. My informants were perfectly placed: one worked with the Contra pilots at their base, while another moved easily among the Salvadoran military officials who protected the resupply operation. They fed me the names of Contra pilots. Again and again, those names showed up in the DEA database as documented drug traffickers.

"When I pursued the case, my superiors quietly and firmly advised me to move on to other investigations."

Former DEA Agent Celerino Castillo
Powder Burns, 1992

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The Subcommittee found that the Contra drug links included:

Involvement in narcotics trafficking by individuals associated with the Contra movement.

Participation of narcotics traffickers in Contra supply operations through business relationships with Contra organizations.

Provision of assistance to the Contras by narcotics traffickers, including cash, weapons, planes, pilots, air supply services and other materials, on a voluntary basis by the traffickers.

Payments to drug traffickers by the US State Department of funds authorized by the Congress for humanitarian assistance to the Contras, in some cases after the traffickers had been indicted by federal law enforcement agencies on drug charges, in others while traffickers were under active investigation by these same agencies."
Senate Committee Report on Drugs,
Law Enforcement and Foreign Policy
chaired by Senator John F. Kerry

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I really take great exception to the fact that 1,000 kilos came in, funded by US taxpayer money."

DEA official Anabelle Grimm, during a 1993 interview on a CBS-TV "60 Minutes" segment entitled "The CIA's Cocaine." The 1991 CIA drug-smuggling event Ms. Grimm described was later found to be much larger. A Florida grand jury and the Wall Street Journal reported it to involve as much as 22 tons.

Gee - how does one pull that off considering that Jackson Stephens, Marc Rich and Bin Ladens were all named figures in that report?

By your logic, Rummy shaking hands with Hussein would become meaningless. But that has been one powerful damn picture and a true representation of the right wing's complicity into skulduggery. Think about the worst enemy of your life. Would you pose for a picture with him/her with a big, glowing smile on your face? I'd sooner eat shit.

There's no "logic" here--I'm just saying, when in comes to political photographs, context is everything--especially when someone conveniently forgets to leave off the labels. I would find a less juvenile way of attacking your least favorite candidate, if I were you.

44. Yes context - and nuance - is everything.
Edited on Sun Nov-11-07 10:51 PM by JackRiddler
And the context of Bush/Clinton is them having a great time together, touring the country, golfing and at consecutive Superbowls.

Tsunami, Katrina: there's always a good cause to serve as an excuse. They have the power to aid good causes without these displays, which have their own significance. The fans and the victims of royalty around the world both understand these pictures perfectly.

The reality of Clinton I was how his administration let the Iran/Contra/Bush criminals off without investigation in 1993, paving the first step for the eventual rise of Bush Jr.

The reality of Sen. Clinton so far has been the atrocious way in which she has enabled the Bush Jr. agenda at the key moments.

The shoe fits, the pictures only confirm what is already obvious to everyone except: a) Democratic center-seekers in denial and b) right-wingers incapable of getting past their rigid black-and-white thinking.

In the Gore picture, both men look very uncomfortable and Gore appears to be consciously keeping his hand off Bush (true, we can't tell how the motion continued).

The Kucinich pic looks like a run-in at some school or basement.

Nobody says Clinton should spit on Bush when he sees him, or that they shouldn't both help relief efforts, even jointly if they can - just don't go out of your way to schedule jaunts and buddy-buddy photo ops.

If you're in politics, you can't avoid them without making yourself look more uncomfortable than you already do.

And anyone with an agenda can interpret an unlabeled press photo any way they choose.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not huge fans of either Clinton (well, not Hillary, anyway) but I need a better argument than playground tactics--"Ooooh, they're wearing matching colors! That means they're in loooooooove!" Yeesh.

87. Hillary
MY reply to Kathleen Parker on Hillary and Religion--

Hillary was a Lay Minister in her Methodist Church.
Hillary has always been a regular attendee at church. Unlike you know who.
Hillary loves her Bible.
Hillary has always prayed to God for Guidance. With her family.
In private as directed by Jesus not on street corners as the hypocrites.
Hillary cares for the less fortunate as Jesus.
Hillary loves Peace On Earth not Wars
Hillary is against killing via executions.
I disagree with her on Gay marriage and permissive abortions..
Her husband had it correct and shut out opponents with his--
Safe-Legal-Rare--Rape-Incest-mom's life
Opponents are "mommies killers" let mom die to save itsy bitsy sperm and egg.
They will eventually want to outlaw Masturbation--Menstrual Period--Wet Dreams.
They destroy eggs and sperm which prevents life.
Hillary loves her family. She suffered to keep her marriage intact.
She stuck by Bill's adultery due to her strong love for him as a total person not just one bad virtue amongst many good ones.
She knew her husband was 99% pure .
Hillary earned $23,000 one year as First Lady of Arkansas when her fellow lawyers made hundreds of thousands.
She spent a year and visited every school district working to improve schools.
Hillary is no Smearer.
Hillary does not Lie(intent to deceive)
Hillary respects others even when they disagree.
Hillary invited to the White House one of most evil smearers. Richard Melon Scaife.
Hillary has a brilliant mind. Not alcohol scorched one.
Hillary will hire experts in each area to manage our government. Bill did same.
One of major reason for Clinton's success was the experts he hired in the government.

The Moogumboo and Frog Manure will be unreal for the next
31 months.

The American Conservative has an article with her pic on front as a witch.

Republicans are desperate to retain power. Many will go to jail with a Democratic Congress or Justice Department.

Unless you show me some captions, or some context, or ANY sort of background on these photo ops, you're not going to convert me to your side, and we're at a standstill.

People forget that the Rumsfeld/Saddam handshake was powerful because it had the context of our arming Saddam in the Iran/Iraq war behind it AS WELL as being a pretty heinous image. Ditto Leiberman's kiss.

These, on the other hand, tell me nothing. Not one, except for the bottom.

79. I like HRC, but these are the images that the world sees.
The simple fact that Bill Clinton, one of my favs, openly embraces Bush 41 as a "close friend" is just too large of a problem for me. And I believe that it is both wrong to just disregard this as political hacker, or to float tenuous evidence of a conspiracy as an excuse for such assertions.

It is quite a shame too. I personally believe that HRC would have done a great service to women, and our country as President. But, that is now of no consequence to me. We need a clean break from the past 20 plus years of "bad press" that covers the Bush/Clinton/Bush/(presumed)Clinton Presidency and the image of an America "run amok" that the world has grown sick and tired of.

It's time for new management, and as the "Evil Capitol Playbook" has shown, when the market is watching this closely, it don't matter what the facts are, it's the image that tells the story. And I'm telling you, this is not an image that helps. In fact, it may do more damage than many are willing to conclude.

Maybe she can take Senate Majority Leader till after the term of a President who would not be encumbered by such image problems.

and the thinking public, both foreign and domestic have acquired a form of filter that denies the MSM the ability to fully control story lines. They've been slipping lately.

This is not to say that what comes out the other end of the "filters" used by people attempting to see the truth is "the truth". But it would be helpful to keep in mind that "Rosie Glasses" does not, an argument make.

Just being kind and considerate does not make them a good leader. Likewise, good leadership skills does not always make one the right leader for the road ahead.

99. The odd one out:

Even I can tell, one of them looks embarrassed to be in the picture.

Hey, where's the one where both of them appear at the Pope's funeral?

Condi and especially Laura look sincere in their grief. What's up with the rest of the gang?

108. The Pope all dressed in red; ..uh..did he click his red slippers?
That is the most bizzare picture I have seen in awhile, like something out of the Dark Ages. The human race has fallen on it's face.

Doesn't look like it.

We should talk to our enemy's to find out what they think. Or is this an axis of evil?

118. If only you had provided context for each picture...
it could have been great. As it is, the one with HRC laughing all out next to Bush* is the one that can't be explained away at first sight. But I'm not recommending this.

122. I don't mind them being polite when they see each other in public
It could be a good example, they disagree on politics but can still hold a civil conversation.

Big Dog and Pappy hanging out a little is weird until you consider they are both ex-presidents. If you are an ex-president, there aren't many people around who understand totally what that's like. I don't mind them doing good deeds together and I don't think they are plotting to take over the world. That's the Bilderberger's job. :hide:
