Thank you for your service to our country! This should be your day and exclusively your day. We all need to be in gratitude for the sacrifices that so many have made. The bravery and discipline that it takes to go thru the military is something that should always be honored and looked up to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

And thanks to all the members of their families. Military service is not always a singular sacrifice.

difficult times that I knew. I didn't realize that part of me was holding my breath until he walked thru those doors in the airport for the last time.

for a year and half, almost like during the Vietnam War, except then it was my brothers.
But it's a whole different thing when it's your very own child, like my son.
My poor parents! :( I thought I knew but I had no idea, until it was my own.
Thank you to all those whom have and are serving and to the families, as well.

And why is it that VETERANS do NOT get this as a paid day off by their employers?!?! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have decent job but why is Veteran's Day not a day for all employed vets to have this day off? If you're not a vet, but work for a bank, the USPS or gov't institutions,or ? it's a paid day off! Sorry, but am I missing something here?
