White House blast Democrats for delaying funding for veterans care
Washington DC The White House is blasting Congressional Democrats for not sending a bill that would fund veteran's care programs to the presidents desk by Veter ans's Day.

"There's absolutely no reason that the veteran's bill cold not have been signed by the president today, except for the political games that the Democrats decided to play with it". White House press secretary Dana Perino said Saturday in Crawford Texas.

Congressional Democrats hat attached legislation funding veterans programs to a $160.7 billion bill that also funded a number of domestic priorities, including health, labor and educating. Democrats also added $3.7 billion to what the president budget for veterans programs.

The labor-health-education bill would increase funding by more than $10 billion over last year's funding to those programs. The president has threatened to veto the bill because of the added spending.

The president wants a clean veterans funding bill Perino said.

========

So in other words bush wants a rubber stamp congress that sends him the bills with the contents that he wants. And he doesn't want them to add extra money for the Veterans, Otherwise he blasts the Democrats for not funding veterans, when he won't sign the bill.

5. Bush wants all these clean, clean, clean bills . . . now
Tough toenails, Mr. Bush. How about a funding mechanism? Like, say, ohhhhhh, I don't know, raising taxes on oil companies, mercenary contractors and some other overrich pals of George Dubya? If you want, I can put together a list . . .
