The Right Wing talk radio station in my home town(1110 WBT)
was just sold by Lincoln Financial to Greater Media Co. who has stations in Boston, New Jersey, Phili, Detroit. Anyone know anything about this company. They say no changes will be made in the format of the station but I PRAY it will become more progressive.

I thought the Greater Media Co was Clearchannel's replacement. Not too sure though.

4. Greater Media is a Right Wing firm.
They run the FM WingNut radio in Boston.

Unbelievably, Boston has no progressive talk.

I catch AAR from Buffalo, but only after dark when the wavelength reaches this far.

5. Charlotte has none either.
Although we are in the south Charlotte itself is very blue, however, that station is home to some of the worst local 'hate radio'.

6. What really stinks about it from my opinion
Is that I think radio is a great medium to get out a message.

It works for the right wingers. They do GOTV over the radio for the con nutjob candidates.

There is no counterbalance.

7. Don't you think....
Al Gardner is the biggest tool

My wife and I have to listen to WBT in the morning for traffic info and we both can't stand it

What is even worse is that horrible Limbaugh minute they play every morning at or around 7am

8. I could only stand Bob and Sherri
occasionally when I lived in Charlotte.

Otherwise radio is a wasteland. So, so glad I have my iPod now and a stack of podcasts and music to keep me occupied.

9. He tries to act all fair and balanced
Horsehit, if you listen real closely his bias is so obvious. Don't even let me get started about Jeff Katz.
