It is going on Months now that Subpoenas were ignored |
|
Is Congress going to attempt to do anything at all? Maybe they could censure Robert Redford or something for making a new movie....There must be something that is far more important than accountability....

1. it's becoming obvious that politicians only make the laws, they don't live by them. |

2. In all fairness, it does take a floor vote to get a contempt citation |
|
They count heads, and if they don't have the votes, they don't schedule a vote. Losing a floor vote on subpoenas would not be a good thing. And yes, inherent contempt also takes a floor vote.

Make the Rethugs show where they stand on thr rule of law. I don't understand this "only fight the fights you can win" mentality. It's about as unAmerican as it gets.

13. Or perhaps they're just chickenshit losers |

How many times have these Democrats avoided doing the right thing because they're "considering the repercussions". Of course, the "repercussions" of doing nothing, leaving this monstrous regime unchallenged never seem to bother them.
Ask yourself: why is it that the "prudent" political route ALWAYS involves caving to the administration? You'd think that the simple law of averages would present the Democrats with one or two issues where the politically optimal solution required them to stand on principle and fight back. Doesn't it strike you as odd that the "mature", "prudent" or "considered" response always defaults to doing nothing?

4. actually, it's been months now and subpoenas are not being enforced by their issuers |
|
let's put responsibility where it belongs - if you issue a subpoena and do NOTHING to enforce it, non-compliance is your fault.

8. To do nothing at all is as criminal, if not more, than ignoring a |

congressional subpoena. The fact that these lazy parasites in Washington would just let this slide is appalling. To not do what is right because you 'don't have the votes' shows what a sleezeball a person is. NOTHING IS A GUARANTEED SUCCESS. Nothing. So thank whomever/whatever that Washington, Paine, Franklin, Hale, Hancock, Adams et al, weren't whiney, greedy, weak, self-serviing shits like this pathetic bunch in Washington.

7. Congress must be afraid that their own gravy train will fail if they seek justice. |

Is the thing to inbred that pulling one loose thread will unravel everything? Considering what's going on, would that be so bad?

in the Senate. Heck, he's the 95th wealthiest member of that body. No portfolio, negligible saving. He's really taken advantage of the ride.

They'd rather cower till... well till I don't know when. The impeachment thing has the support of a clear majority of Americans, and STILL they sit on their hands.
*sigh*
