First there was Tenet HealthCare in May, 2007, then there was Lehman Brothers/JP Morgan in September, 2007.

That Gravy Train just has li'l Jeb's name on it..

Jeb Bush joins CNLBancshares board

November 16, 2007

CNLBancshares, whose subsidiary CNLBank has two South Florida branches, said it has appointed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to its board of directors.

The privately held, Orland-based banking company also said it also has appointed Dianna Morgan, Walt Disney World's former senior vice president of public affairs, to its board.

CNLBank had seven branches, all in Florida, with $818 million in deposits on June 30, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The bank's Boca Raton branch had $25 million in deposits on that date. It opened a branch in Fort Lauderdale last month.

1. Hey, wait a minute:
"CNL Bancshares Inc., is a $1.4 billion multi-bank holding company headquartered in Orlando, Fla., serving the needs of businesses and high net worth individuals with a comprehensive range of financial products and services."

I thought banks needed to be broader in their charters. Then again, I guess they don't accpt deposits from poor schmucks like me?

I hope the alligators eat them.
