23. They love her so much, she is raw with bliss. Or are they raw with bliss?
Either way, we're the ones ending up with the sores and painful discharge -- and that's what counts the most.

9. Actually, they're typical abusers
Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 11:28 PM by depakid
and the Democratic "leadership" has been displaying a sort of "learned helplessness," which is sometimes called "battered woman syndrome."

Abusers will not stop abusing- they'll only become more egregious every time, until the abusee(s) stands up and becomes assertive and takes some action (usually entailing risk) that has an adverse effect on the abuser.

"Conciliation" is just an invitation for more abuse- and that's precisely what we've seen, n'est pas?

It's pretty sad to see that sort of thing on a personal level with people you care about. It's exponentially worse to see it on a collective level, where it affects millions of people.

What's sadder still is that there seems to be a lot of us here who preach the same (or similar) meme.

Do we really need to remind ourselves just who the fuck is the real enemy here?

22. We all know this is reich wing baloney, BUT . . .
I have been wondering why I haven't seen the faces of big oil execs. on my television screen lately. Every time I fill up gas creeps closer to $4 a gallon and not a peep from Washington. You barely hear anything about the cost of heating oil and I know at the current prices people will be freezing to death if the weather turns bitterly cold. I despise Fox, but . . .

24. The 2000 Campaign: The Texas Governor Bush Would Use Power of Persuasion to Raise Oil Supply
Published: June 28, 2000

Gov. George W. Bush of Texas said today that if he was president, he would bring down gasoline prices through sheer force of personality, by creating enough political good will with oil-producing nations that they would increase their supply of crude.

"I would work with our friends in OPEC to convince them to open up the spigot, to increase the supply," Mr. Bush, the presumptive Republican candidate for president, told reporters here today. "Use the capital that my administration will earn, with the Kuwaitis or the Saudis, and convince them to open up the spigot."

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9A03E4D71030F93BA15755C0A9669C8B63&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=1

Junior was expressing concern over gas prices that had jumped from $1.42 on May 1 2000 to $1.65 during the following month.

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/economy/jan-june00/gas_prices_6-21.html

When President Bush took office on January 20, 2001, the national average gas price was $1.46 per gallon. Six and a half years later, on August 27, 2007, the national average gas price had jumped to $2.76, roughly 89% higher. Compounded annually, this represents about a 10% jump each year Bush has been in office.

Now, let’s compare the numbers over the same time period for President Clinton.

When Clinton took office on January 20, 1993, the national average gas price was $1.06 per gallon. six and a half years later, the national average gas price had jumped to $1.22, roughly 15% higher. Compounded annually, this represents about a 2% jump each year.

Even when you compare all of Clinton’s term (38% jump overall) against the first six and a half years of Bush’s term, the overall jump in gas prices between the two presidents isn’t even close. In order to meet Clinton’s “numbers” gas prices would have to fall to $2.02 per gallon - or roughly 36%.

The average US price of a gallon of regular gas is $3.099 today.

30. Year and a half according to the comparison with Clinton.
Although the war in Iraq has contributed to diminished supply and therefore higher prices, you could make a case that Junior couldn't do much about it. But after his pompous criticism of Clinton and Gore on the subject, he owns the problem.

Pick just about any category and just look at the numbers. This is the worst president we have ever had.

25. I watched Pox News for 3 hrs. the other day. It was the first time in my
life that I'd ever seen more than a passing glimpse of it.

I was seriously horrified by the content. They don't even try to hide the fact that they are a propaganda channel.

It's no wonder that half the people in this country are dumber than a toaster. Pox News makes them stupid.

And anyone, especially a (so-called) journalist, that works for Pox should be ashamed of themselves for participating in the process of inventing and distorting information and perpetuating lies.

28. A New Talking Point Is Born
I heard that slimebag Patrick Henry use the same crap on C-SPAN the other day. These asshats think that its only Democrats in the House that are unpopular...an assumption that only begs to have their asses handed to them.

I sure hope they keep up this loser...unless you have kool-aid chugging through the veins, people know who caused the oil prices to rise and this country to go to hell...and payback in a year won't be pretty.
