Faith Hill "support our troops" |
|
Faith Hill plans to sing in front for troops in Iraq.
Faith Hill "support our troops" "Support our troops"? By sending them to their deaths in Iraq killing innocent people under George Bush's orders?
I rather support the late Saddam Hussein than to support our troops (that way).
If anyone like to support our troops, BRING THEM HOME NOW. Those meaningless yellow ribbons won't do sh*t. Bring them home now! That's the ONLY true support.

she can't pack them up and bring them home, so why shouldn't she go perform for them? I was always appreciative of entertainers who did that.

and her husband Tim McGraw are Dems. The Troops are over there and the bushites won't let them come home EVER, so they might as well get "entertained" by someone with a true heart like Faith Hill than just get maimed or killed.

29. Her Politics Don't Matter |
|
I think all of the entertainers who go over there to perform for our troops should be commended, whether the performer is a Democrat, Republican or whatever.
They don't have to go there. They could play to nice crowds in LA or Austin. Instead, they fly to the other side of the globe - to a war zone no less. They put themselves through inconvenience and danger because they want to provide a little bit of happiness to the men and women of our armed forces.
As for the performers who support the war, well, if they go over there I give them credit for that. They are doing more than wearing a lapel pin and shouting down war critics.

I did not know that Ms. Hill is a Democrat and a critic of the Bush administration.
It's just some paranoia about country musicians (Dixie Chicks aside) supporting the Republican Party.
I apologize for this.

21. Faith Hill is a known Dem |
|
And, she and her husband were almost the only country singers to defend the Dixie Chicks. AND, she has blasted the anti-gay stuff in the industry.
Please learn something about the people you accuse and insult.
There's nothing wrong with trying to help morale of the troops overseas, especially since she IS fighting here to bring them home.
God.

that's involved made a choice to be in the military with Iraq being a strong possibility. They can stay there forever as far as I'm concerned.

There's people there who haven't been allowed to leave the military. My BIL knows many of them. He was lucky enough to break his back in a night jump in another part of the world, and just missed being sent there. But many of his men and friends did. Many are also still there, and don't want to be.

1. That was sarcasm. I meant this whole "supporting the troops" thing, i.e. wearing ribbons and weaving the flag. 2. I forgot that it was Bushler who put our troops into harm's way, not Faith Hill.
