Dick Durbin Responds to "Impeach Bush" Cards sent to congress
In early October, "Impeach Bush" Playing Card Decks were sent to all Democratic members of Congress. The creator of the decks has since received only one response, from Senator Dick Durbin. The original press release announcement follows it.

While Senator Durbin was kind in responding, the letter really says nothing but more of the same. We'll see how things go now that Kucinich was successful with his resolution a few weeks back, but why am I afraid it's going to go nowhere?

New Impeach Bush Playing Cards Cite 54 Reasons to Impeach George Bush - Political Satirist Distributes Cards to U.S. Congress

The new "Royal Flush: Impeach Bush Now" playing cards, which cite 54 reasons to impeach George Bush, have been distributed to every Democratic member of U.S. Congress by filmmaker and political satirist Jerry Vasilatos. With a 75 percent disapproval rating and millions of Americans demanding the impeachment of Bush and Cheney, it was only a matter of time until someone took the Pentagon's "Most Wanted" card concept and turned it on the administration itself.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 23, 2007 -- Filmmaker and political satirist Jerry Vasilatos recently distributed his new "Royal Flush: Impeach Bush Now" playing cards, citing 54 reasons to impeach www.impeachbushcards.com , to every Democratic member of the U.S. Congress. Using the example set forth by the Pentagon in their "Iraqi Deck of Death," which was distributed to troops at the beginning of the war and meant to assist them in identifying Iraqi war criminals, Vasilatos has chosen 54 of the most egregious misdeeds of the Bush administration and assigned each one to a card, ranging from the mishandling of Hurricane Katrina, to issues of civil liberty abuse, torture, and the War in Iraq.

"It's astounding that this administration could willingly engage in so many high crimes and misdemeanors," he says. "After seeing how successful my previous www.impeachbushcards.com were, including the 'The Deck of Republican Chickenhawks' (which identified pro-war Republicans who avoided armed service) and 'House of Cards: Deck of Bush' (which listed reasons not to re-elect George Bush prior to the '04 election), it made sense compiling a final deck. The 'Impeach Bush Now' cards list everything President George Bush has done to betray our country's ideals and provides a handy reference from which people can demand accountability. It makes a great companion piece to pocket Constitutions," he adds wryly.

To drive the point home, Vasilatos undertook the expense of sending a deck of playing cards to every Democratic member of Congress. "It's the least I could do in trying to send the message home since the majority of Americans feel like our cries are falling on deaf ears," Vasilatos says. "Hopefully this might aid in getting their attention since we gave them a mandate for a reason."

The "Royal Flush: Impeach Bush Now" playing cards, citing 54 reasons to impeach President George Bush, can be viewed and ordered online at: www.impeachbushcards.com.

Geez! When will Congress start listening?

I'm certainly on Kucinich's side with regards to the impeachment issue.

And they make great stocking stuffers too if you really want to piss off Republican family members this holiday season lol...

* The Spades reveal "The REAL Bush"- his failure and unwillingness to protect Americans from danger and disaster, his alliance with the religious right, and his criminal activities and subversion of the United States Constitution.

* The Hearts describe "Bush's Gifts to the American Public"- budget slashes that effect children, families, veterans, and the victimized families of 9/11. Why does Bush hate America?

* The Diamonds recount the money-grubbing corporate greed of a "CEO President"- learn about the deals and crony corporatism that would amount to federal racketeering charges against normal citizens, all at the expense of the US taxpayer.

* The Clubs, appropriately, cover the "War with Iraq"- the lies and deceit surrounding the quagmire resulting from the pre-emptive conflict that is costing thousands of innocent U.S. and Iraqi lives as well as sacrificing our nation's credibility regarding the non-existant "Weapons of Mass Destruction".

* And as for the Jokers, they expose the most treasonable offenses of the Bush and Cheney administration, in their own words.

10. Every single candidate should be asked if they have seen these cards and if
they can articulate any falsehoods within them. If they can not find any falsehood then why are they not acting to do something about it? The question needs to be asked of all of them. Every single Congressman has to run for re-election next year. I wonder why only democrats received these4 cards..

11. Thanks for the response Senator Durbin, but...
it was referred to the House Judiciary Committee, not the House Armed Services Committee.

12. Exactly What "Fact" Is He Imagining Someone (Else) Will "Find" ?!?
The regime publicly claims monarchical, "Unitary" power to rule by signing statement and chuckles in the face of any action by Congress or any court.

They've (ab)used this "power" for years to torture people, spy on Americans without warrants, and terrorize the nation with a bomb threat of "mushroom clouds!" to coerce capitulation to their maniacal, masturbatory, military agression adventure which has wasted thousands of American lives and countless others.

Gee, how could anyone stand to formally object and try to stop that without more "fact finding" and "carefully investigating."

It boggles the mind.
