Obama "scream" issue is a bum rap IMO...
watched the little video of Obama responding to the woman's request for information re terrorists, security, et al.

The woman asked what Obama would do regarding terrorism, the borders, etc. obama responded briefly then the woman made ADDITIONAL comments THAT WERE UNINTELLIGIBLE so anybody viewing this video could not hear what she said in her second part of this exchange. Based on what she said in that second part, Obama responded in a more energetic manner. I don't think we can criticize his response when we do not know what that woman actually said. His tone may have been completely appropriate based on her remarks.

didn't sound to me like Obama was screaming and I think media ho posturing this as some sort of "Obama lost it"
moment is off base agitation, trying to create something out of nothing.

The brief clip did not show if Obama actually addressed the woman's questions however.

1. Glad I wasn't the only one
that thinks it is a bum rap. I was trying to figure out if the talking heads watched the same clip I saw.

2. Of course it is...
but that won't stop the media from running with it. Look what they did to Dean.

3. Yep.
I posted a thread on this, too. The lady admitted that she is a republican. The media should be focused on that, rather than trying to divide democrats and damage Senator Obama's campaign.

5. No emotion allowed!
From what I heard, she associated him with Al Qaeda because of his stand on immigrants getting driver's licenses.

I'm sick of the criminalizing of passion and emotion. God forbid any candidate should show even a glimmer of humanity.

If you're not screaming right about now, you're not paying attention.

8. "Criminalizing of passion and emotion" -- what progs do best...
When Dean was caught with his "scream," something anyone who has played football has heard from the coach when trailing 28-zip at half time, the people who came down on him were libs and MSM. This is the result of a crap culture of intellectualism being equated with "cool medium" style. Folks in the South -- even liberals -- didn't think much of it, so imagine their surprise when the talking heads were wetting their communal pants over "The Scream" for days on end after that.

They, not the GOP, wanted him out. And they got their wish.

6. Obama didn't lose it
but the woman sure sounded snippy. It was obvious that she was baiting him.

It didn't sound to me as if he yelled. Not at all.

I'm an Edwards supporter, but fair is fair.
