CIVIL war is breaking out in the US - WATCH CSPAN LIVE
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 03:11 PM by antifaschits
Source: CSPAN LIVE - DOD presser - we are out of money, ergo,

we are canceling work, operations, and canceling contracts with contractors.

This is a glove in the face to Congress, orchestrated by the White House.

"It is imperative that congress pass a budget immediately. . . ."

"free of objectionable policy provisions."

No link yet.

Watch it. He won't even answer non-budget questions!

3. I call it a civil war, because this is precisely that, a battle between
Congress and the White House on the issue of who has what constitutional right and authority. Geoff Morrell is the smoothie Regency grad spitting out the sTalking Points for BushCo.

They will refuse any congressional oversight - all they want is a clean budget without any directions or directions as to policy.

7. Hmmmm...
Let's see...Do they usually cave? Yes
So they probably will, so the real question
is how fast and what kind of back-room deal
will be made.

6. It is the fault of the
Democrats!
:sarcasm:

Maybe if they could find all the money
that is unaccounted for, they would have
enough funding for another go around.

9. "we are not out to scare anyone. . . but be very afraid!"
because we will be out of money for the Marines in mid-March.

Funny how they pull this shit on the Tuesday before T-Day, when congresscritters have traveled home.

14. Jesus, Ken Bacon (under Clinton) was wonky, but he looked like
Conan the Destroyer at the podium compared to this putz....

He's trying to scare people--they're saying the O and M cupboard can be raided, but is there anything in that cupboard...?

Go on, pal, try firing all those civilian workers!! Shut down those bases!! That'll make this administration popular!!!

What a chickenshit BushCo is, sending this little water-slurping wussie out to fight their battles! Even GATES ain't coming to the podium on this thang...

17. Civil War or the 'Casus Belli' for martial law?
All Bu$hco needs is a spark .. a tiny scintilla (at the most!) of a "terrorist" action .. and this Republic goes up in the smoke and flames of a Constitutional conflagration. This could be win-win for Bu$hco. Either they get their defense budget, as requested, or they impose martial law (after a small false-flag operation). So far the move toward a fascist dictatorship has been incremental, like a roller-coaster reaching the top of a great grade climb. We could be over the top and plunging into the abyss very quickly, I fear. These desperate bastards have nothing to lose. They never back down. Ever.

:scared:
