Hardball Chris Matthews Scroll: Bush,Cheney, Rove involved in coverup of CIA leak plus
Source: Msnbc TV - reporting on Scott McClellans book coming out in April

Chris Matthews on Hardball, 5PM EST scrolling and reporting that Bush Cheney Rove and the Presidents Chief of Staff plus top aides involved in coverup of CIA leak. He unknowlingly lied for the President who personally asked him to report to the press and the world that no one in the White House was involved and especially not Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

No link yet.

Is there any question that this should go to the Judiciary committee for investigation. And was Ari Fleischer the President's Chief of Staff at the time?

10. oh he is definitely one of the boys. One his first day he "advised" the president
to veto the senate FISA bill because it did not include immunity for the telecoms...

42. really...
covering up is the same crime that Nixon got caught for.

So far a war, surveillance, curtailment of liberties, and everything else hasn't caught up to this asshole monkey.

Will Nixon's crime of covering up wrongdoing finally be the silver bullet that pierces Bush's heart?

6. Recall at the time that Mary Magdalene, Card, several othes fairly suddenly
left WH service to spend more time with their families.

Chris Matthews giving it plenty of air time and calling it a "blockbuster".

What is it they always say: "It's not the crime, but the cover up".

17. From your AP link: Bush most recently said:
Bush most recently addressed the issue in July after commuting Libby's 30-month prison term. He acknowledged that some in the White House were involved in the leak. Then, after repeatedly declining to discuss the ongoing investigation, he said the case was closed and it was time to move on.
..................................

ummmm , well maybe it isnt closed.

Waxman, Kucinich, Leahy. Maybe it isnt closed. Maybe even Conyers will find his backbone again.

And somebody better find a way to tell Nancy and Steney the facts of impeachment in America.

15. It won't go anywhere. Scooter was pardoned and Armitage was the leaker...
It's just Matthews doing his occasional throwing of red meat to us Dems..who want impeachment.

It only Pumps McClellan's book. That's what it's about. Sorry. I wish that we would see Plame/Wilson vindicated and Fitz opening a new investigation...but Fitz already knew this info...and he could only get Scooter and Scooter was pardoned.

Don't get hopes up for nothing. Unless you are a masochist and love punishment.

16. Book Excerpt

WHAT HAPPENED
Inside the Bush White House and What's Wrong with Washington
SCOTT MCCLELLAN

SUMMARY | EXCERPT
The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White house briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

There was one problem. It was not true.

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the President himself.

18. All this makes me angry
Scotty was a smug ass the entire time. He had no concern for the fact that he was lying, and if he'd listened to the questions and had half a working brain, he knew he was lying.

Now that he's decided to write a book he plans to exploit the coverup which he was involved in.

In the end he comes out the winner because he's boosting his book sales. The loser are once again the American people.

19. Not necessarily. How do we know Fitzgerald knew this before? Scott may
not have known it at the time he testified for Fitzgerald.

Also the Federal Courts dismissed Plame's lawsuit.

New Evidence. I think she could get in re-instated.

Scott either stands behind his words or gets sued by a lot of powerful people for libel

If it comes to who do you believe, I say Scott. I think it would be easy to fool him , he didnt seem that sharp. And they say he left, resigned, cause he was bitter about being used and lied to by Bush.

34. White House now saying Bush was misled just as Scotty McClellan was - then
if so, why did Bush grant a pardon, no jail time, to
Scooter Libby. Couldnt' be buying silence?

Nevertheless Cheney actually wrote out "talking points" for McClellan to announce to the press that Scooter Libby had nothing to do with the exposing of Plame..therefore Cheney is directly part of the cover up

When is impeachment going to start.
