Please add your speculations in the comments - these are my top ten guesses.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!!!!!!!

And now, the poll:

If George W. Bush were not born into a rich family, what would he have been today?

2. Small-time conman/gambler.
Alcoholic get-rich quick schemer. Part-time hustler, conning both women and men within short-lived sexual relationships.

I dunno.

5. Mascot
He can run around making a fool of himself, make fun of people, *think* he's important, and nobody will know or care who it is under the big fake head. If he's really lucky he can spar with another team's mascot and never really get hurt, though innocent bystanders may find themselves in the hospital. Hmmm...sounds like his present job.

6. Actually. Without someone always bailing him out of every mistake?
He might have had a chance to learn from them, and grown up to be a person able to acknowledge and rectify misjudgments.

If he hadn't grown up in a clan where casual cruelty is the norm, and baby sisters are never mentioned again when they die; he might have been able to develop some empathy.

He doesn't possess the natural talent to have achieved any real success on his own. But he could have probably been a decent human being if he'd been given half a chance.

7. You're right about that.
There's way too many who still think that Mommy and Daddy are nice people. Of course they are not.

12. I imagine Junior as a chronic failure at low level sales jobs
Something that allows his natural ass-holeness to shine as well as enabling him to keep up a solid relationship with Jim Beam & friends..

10. I voted pizza driver
He would be the really angry pizza driver, bitter because the world never gave him all the things he knows he was "entitled" to.

15. A decent human being.
His dad might have played football with him more instead of wasting time kissing Richard Nixon's ass. Dubya's mom might not have been able to sluff him off on the help.

George W. Bush is spoiled and neglected. He was damaged by his parents and placed into a position to damage the world -- which he promptly did. Had Bush been raised by good people in honest circumstances he might have been a good man with real -- though modest -- achievements.
