is that he does really want to be a lobbyist in a yr vs 2. If it's really personal or a scandal unfolding, waiting another day to resign wouldn't matter. No, he wants the big paying cushy job and doesn't care if he screws the Repukes in the process.
Or - he's holding out for a big payoff to get him to agree to wait that extra day!
Either way, he's pure scum like the rest of them.

Katrina and Homeland Security dollars still just laying out there for the taking. Not to mention the reconstruction of the Lott Estate on the Gulf.

given all that has happened with his property in MS after Katrina. Even being a US Senator from MS he still is getting screwed by the insurance company and FEMA. The insurance company screwed him for it's own greedy reasons. FEMA screwed him for the neocon ideological reasons.
