One thing I always wondered about all of these years / JFK |
|
He was in Dallas to give a speach and he was a popular president . Why were there no news cameras there to document just his arrival . There was footage of his landing at the airport .
Today no matter what there would have been cameramen all over the place , why not that day .

1. Please remember that in 1963 news cameras |
|
using videotape were enormous and power hogs. In fact, most remote news cameras were film cameras. There was little live broadcasting unless it was an an indoor venue with a large enough power supply. There was no way to put huge cameras along the entire route. Remember also that consumers only had 8 mm film cameras and those were also expensive. We are lucky to have the footage that we do.

4. A lot of them were at the luncheon |
|
where he was speaking, waiting for his arrival. IIRC, many were disappointed they missed the story.

5. I know , however there are not even good photo's of the area |
|
Even an 8mm in the hands of a pro would have been better than the films we do have .
It's a shame there were not more compact movie cameras then .
But even now with the 9/11 films we are still never going to know what really happened .

7. President Kennedy was on his way to |
|
the Dallas Trade Mart Building to give the speech at a luncheon. The motorcade was en route when the assassination occurred. He had just landed at Love field in Dallas after making the short trip from Ft. Worth.

10. Dealey Plaza was just a point in the |
|
motorcade route. The only thing that made it a specially historic place is that is where the assassination took place. Before that it was (and still is) a memorial to George Bannerman Dealey. A newspaperman and civic leader in Dallas

12. Yeah, I know what happened in Dallas. |

Apparently the poster is asking about Dealey Plaza.

13. I guess that is the point. |
|
The motorcade route back then didn't have cameras all along the way. The people who knew of the route ahead of time (it was printed in the paper back then) many of them brought cameras but that's about it. Sorry about any confusion.

6. That film was taken at the airport |
|
and the agents were going to other cars for a high speed run to downtown. The narrator is being disingenuous at best, lying at worst.

11. A couple of questions - |
|
Why did the agent question with his arms and shoulders? It is obvious that he was getting orders contrary to a previous plan? If they were taking seats because of speed, why would he question the order giver? Was he planning to run along the airport roads? It certainly appears that way?
Did the agents never take their place beside JFK again?
At what point did the car slow down to pass through the city streets.
Were there no agents by his side after the airport, if what you say is true?
Where do you get your information that says it was at the airport?
If you know that much, do you know what happened between the airport and the downtown streets?
You don't provide any background to your claim while you say that the other person has played with the facts.

14. Hmm, I didn't look into the background before . . . |
|
Don't look at the limo or the people, look at the background. An empty field, a fence with wooden fenceposts. It looks like this was not taken downtown Dallas, which the video poster seems to suggest.
However, it is instrumental in showing that a standdown DID occur, since the man was ready to jog along the car all the way on the route and does not appear to have been reinstated to his position after the limo arrived in a more populated area.
I am convinced that rouge elements of our own government, probably including a group within the CIA, were involved in the plot. No way was it a "lone gunman."
