48% of Americans think Military Intervention is 'Going Well'.....

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071127/ap_on_re_us/us_iraq_poll

Yes, people want a pull-out. However, it is SO enraging & disgusting that after 1 million person massacred (god know how many wounded, orphaned, widowed, or dislocated), tens of thousands of soldiers injured & nearly 4000 dead for NO LEGITIMATE REASON; some people believe our military intervention (i.e. killing) is going just hunky dorey.

It is hard to even want to advocate for this country when their is such a large percentage of the population that feels ENTITLED to kill, maim, & destroy, if they FEEL even the SLIGHTEST threat. It is really gross.

This, and the damn vote for the Thought Police Act (US Home Grown Terrorist Intervention Act or whatever Orwellian name) that just passed the house with the VAST VAST majority of Congress voting for it....

Someone remind me, what are we fighting for? A bunch of entitled tv drunk children who can't add two & two together.

I know, I know. I am ranting. I know many people are very aware & fighting. But, every now & then, it just gets to be too much.

Damn.

7. I would like an answer to that question as well. I doubt these people would
like to suffer the same fate that the Iraqis have and would they consider the same situation as "going well" if it were they facing it? I don't think they would. So detached from the horrific place the Iraqis find them selves in through no fault of their own. No American would put up with this in their own backyards. Not for one minute.

2. We're becoming numb
Just because there haven't been "as many" bombs going off in Iraq, we're lulled into thinking it's "going well" or "going better." We aren't hearing the casualty totals as often as we used to -- the sucky MSM is doing its best to get us to put this on the back burner, to get us to *feel good* again, to go shopping ...

5. Americans have never experienced
BOMBS dropping on their heads, hence they tend to be quite cavalier about it. With any hope the economic nuke will wake them up.

3. Of course they do, they're being told it's so 24/7/365
Now, get back to your shopping!!

Seriously, just look at your TeeVee, turn on your radio, read your TIME and Newsweek, read your Wall Street Journal and your Warshington Post and the New York Times!

And, please, for crying out loud, fill your gas tank. Don't you know these killers want to end our way of life?

Sacrifice, Americans. Fill up. Spend. Borrow money. Eat fast food. Refinance your house. DON'T BE UNPATRIOTIC.

SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND !!!

4. All the more reason to bring it home:

I suggest a XMAS "buy out" on that day, DEC 21; or maybe for the whole XMAS season.

6. They spent decades and hundreds of millions of dollars so that they can
say the war is going well, the economy is great, the president is protecting us, crazy liberals want to tax and spend and cut and run, etc..

Get ready for full time push of the message that the surge worked, Iraq is a success. There was very little chance this could have gone differently....they control not only the events but the stories about the events.
