Sherri Shepherd (the world is flat)
doesn't get that whole BC thingy, she insists Jesus came first. For whatever reasons the ladies on the View were discussing an ancient Greek
philosopher. Talk migrated to religion and Sherri, I don't, know if the world is flat Shepherd chimed with the (Greeks) had Christians because they threw them to the lions. (We do know they were the Romans)

Whoopie tried to cautiously navigate her thru the time line of events saying "I think this predates that", No I don't think anything predates Christians, because Jesus came first.

Wonder what school this woman went to....if it had to do with "no child left behind" I think the whole damn school system was left behind there.

15. Collect all the winger memes and myths, put your own "I'm even crazier" spin on them...
Write book with hateful chapters on every minority and liberal group with tons of cross-references (it doesn't even have to make sense), get a Murdoch crony/publisher to pick you up and YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY!!!

23. My cousin is married to a tv sitcom writer. The stuff he

writes isn't very funny, but he makes big big money. And, in typical Hollywood fashion, he got started in the business because his college roommate's father was a producer.

I hate that who you know is generally more important that what you know. Clearly Shepherd has friends in high places.

2. I used to think she was pretty funny on the sitcoms she acted on.
But now I won't watch the reruns, because she's just too disgusting to watch.

It's hard to believe that someone can truly be that stupid, but she apparently is, or she's a better actress than we give her credit for.

couldn't make heads or tails out of what you wrote in your original post.

And I'm simply amazed that any of the previous posters on this thread could figure out who said what about what.

Just my 2 cents........

5. Yeah... well if you watched The View (morning talk show)
this morning, you'd be clued right in. I only know because I'm in another discussion about it at another board. She's a clueless idiot - Sheppard - who said some pretty amazingly stupid things this morning.

6. If you need a good laugh, click on this link:

It has a little video option (or you can just read the transcript) of what was said this morning. On National TV.

7. A simple request for clarification would suffice.
That one lady from The View, the one who in the past said that she wasn't sure if the earth was flat or not, is once again proving her stunning ignorance. Today on the view, her idiocy was on display when she tried to claim that nothing came before Jesus. She tried to suggest that the Greeks had Christians because they fed them to the lions (apparently she doesn't know the difference between Greeks and Romans). When Whoopie tried to suggest that what they were discussing predates Christianity, Sherri tried to suggest that nothing predates Christianity. Apparently, in her mind, everything begins and ends with Jesus.

12. because...
they frequently talk politics & I want to
know what the viewers of this highly watched show
are being fed. They were getting some good opposing
points of view when Rosie was on.

9. my hope...
Before Sherri was hired full time she said some wacky things.
So I began thinking that they may have hired her just so she and the
viewers like her could be set straight by the others. I know Barbara
told her on air to "educate herself". Maybe this is just wishful
thinking on my part.

10. This IS Why I Don't Watch
This is precisely why I don't watch daytime TV.

It is so incredibly vapid.

I would much rather devote my energies to doing something -- ANYTHING -- to getting Bush and Cheney out of office (preferably through impeachment!)

17. An educational role model for the children of America.
to emulate. This person is actually given airtime on American TV. It never ceases to amaze me and even more amazing that people watch this shit instead of just turning it off or changing the channel. And PS: She's not "ignorant". She's fucking stupid.

20. LOL ... "the whole damn system was left behind"
:spray:

My s.o. wants to put up holiday lights that spell out:

Save your own damned selves!

(lots of bible thumpers around me)

To me, Sherri is likeable, but my goodness, the ignorance continues to be astounding. Whoopi and Joy have to be restraining themselves not to enlighten her about facts right then and there. I can see Joy yelling out at some point, "Hey, dumbass! Ever heard of BC? It stands for 'before Christ' not 'before Cheney'!"
