Finally, finally, this man is to be released. I've wondered, too, why Huckabee didn't release him. I believe he was awarded a settlement for the maiming he received from the stinking sheriff; couldn't have been enough, for what happened to him.
Amazing, isn't that Dumond was so harshly treated for something he claimes he didn't do (I believe him), yet the rapist president sits in the WH, enjoying the good life at our expense.

I agree with your post, especially the part about Clinton.
According to reports, Dumond had a criminal background that included "attempted and admitted" rapes, but no charges or convictions until the Clinton cousin made her accusation. This all may be true, but, in 1984, Wayne was reportedly a church-going family man who may have changed his ways. The fact that Dumond was speaking out against the sheriff (who was later convicted of racketeering) and county corruption ("Why are all of these cars being stolen?") at a church meeting is interesting.
Either way, fourteen years is a long, long time for most convicted rapists to spend in prison. This whole story smells. I can't believe that Ashley Stevens "fears for her life!" What a crock. Sounds like she probably got some pointers from her fellow Clintonista gal Suzy McDougal.
Cheers.

Released because the victim was related to Bill Clinton.
Wayne Dumond was given parole at the urging of Mike Huckabee, after years of pressure from the right amid claims he was railroaded by the "Clinton machine".
He went on to rape and murder two women within six weeks of his release.
