Today in History: What Bill Clinton Did Right
At no small expense.

1993 Energy Secretary Hazel O'Leary reveals that the U-S government has conducted more than 200 secret nuclear weapons tests in Nevada.

A lot of secrets like the one above came out during the Clinton administration. Was it foolish idealism that led that government to lift the lid on so many things, that previous administrations had buried?

There were people who were angered by the revelations of this and other secrets and the small-scale turmoil they created in some quarters. Did the American people really need to know this? Could we still love a country that was led by people who would, on occasion, completely betray the ideals set forth by the FFs?

William Jefferson Clinton believed we could.

Just sayin' ...
