1. Bush isn't done yet. He may well kill 6 million before it is over. |
|
In terms of the devastation he has heaped upon Iraq for generations. The long term death toll is going to be astronomical.

2. I do agree that the horrors of fascist America are coming and quickly |
|
my main point was about the twisting of language--the whole "war is peace; fascism is freedom" thing going on right now. Dems failing to protect our language over the last 30 years forced us down the path we now tread. Democracy seems to require that lies/spin/framing are confronted.

And Dems have failed to confront it. Have failed to call it LIES. That is what they need to do.

6. the powerful are people are they not? |
|
people, regardless of power, are not immune to the effects of language
power does, however, put you in a better position to mass communicate language, as well as shape policy and thought with language.

Makes a girl wonder what's wrong with mankind, why was everyone at the time such a bunch of sissies? Why didn't they take a stand against the media whores when that was happening?
At least we know our guys would never act like such douche bags.

Try reading what an American was writing in 1938. In The Tyranny of Words" Stuart Chase expressed concern of what he saw going on with language in Germany as it was happening. He had the insight to compare it to advertising in America which he labelled "literary fraud."
