Evertime when I hear Jane Harman talks
as she was earlier on Blitzer, and hear of her vast knowledge of Intelligence, I cannot understand why Pelosi removed her from chairing this committee.

I think that Pelosi is either a very poor judge of people's skills, or she is too vindictive.

I hope that the former is correct.

1. Harman presented a challenge to Pelosi
pure, unadulterated, ambition (and pettiness), caused Pelosi to remove Harman.

She challenged torture and other Admin policies ... and those were things Pelosi wanted to hold in reserve as leverage for her other priorities.

2. She jogs with Michael Chertoff
She has been one of the chief war hawks. She didn't get the Iraq WMD right. Pelosi didn't reward failure.

3. Remember the choice was between her and Hoyer.
Talk about Douchebag and Turd sandwich....:eyes:

It's all about preserving the illusion of choice.

6. That's right. Jane Harmon is a BushCo apologist.
She's sort of like Feinstein in that sometimes she looks like she's taking a strong position but the moment you push on it, it vaporizes.

9. Harman is my congress woman
and except for Venice/Santa Monica area this is a very conservative area where the defense industry is big business. Harman has to walk a fine line our former representative was "B1 Bob" Dornan, that's the kind of district this is. x(

11. I lived in that district for three years. That's sounds right to me.
And Santa Monica is weird because there are all these PINOS there. The city council has third party registrants that act like Republicans most of the time.

8. aipac evidently wanted her appointed also.

Did a Democratic member of Congress improperly enlist the support of a major pro-Israel lobbying group to try to win a top committee assignment? That's the question at the heart of an ongoing investigation by the FBI and Justice Department prosecutors, who are examining whether Rep. Jane Harman of California and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) may have violated the law in a scheme to get Harman reappointed as the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee, according to knowledgeable sources in and out of the U.S. government.

10. Warmongers usually do have a vast knowledge of Intelligence...
Check into Harman's past positions, and you may decide that one of the things to Pelosi's credit was the dumping of Ms. Harman.

Listening to her puts me in mind of a crawdad hiding under a rock, pincers out and ready to strike.
