Something cool that Xerox is doing
P.S. FOWARD TO EVERY AMERCIAN.....
Something cool that Xerox is doing

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them.
...............................................

P.S. You can also add comments to the card..

4. Here's my comment (some of those were over the top):
"May our leaders finally realize your worth to all of us back home and get you home safe and sound in the new year.

May the enemies' bullets and bombs never find you, and may your equipment never fail you in a firefight.

May you find rest when you get back to base and find rest and love when you get back home.

May you always know that all of us back home love and support you no matter what and are trying to get you home as soon as we can."

I hope it's okay.

17. I wrote it rather quickly.
I'm going to keep working on it and see if I can make it better so I can do another card.

 I've missed you. I'm still in shock about your wife, and I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that such a terrible thing happened.

8. Here is what I wrote:
This war is illegal and you know it. Its your duty to disobey illegal orders, and every order you receive is illegal in an illegal war. You need to do your duty and speak out against this. The Nuremberg Trials prove that you are not immune from prosecution by claiming you "just followed orders." Its your life - you need to protect it.

11. that's not fair to send to someone in a warzone
The troops at this point are just trying to stay alive.
The ones doing the majority of the really evil shit are the mercenaries.
I understand the need to blame someone, but it really is NOT the fault
of the soldiers.

They need to know THEY are cared about, and that we do understand they are just trying to stay alive at this point. The German argument does not apply since they aren't doing atrocities (yet), like gassing hundreds of people! Also many of those who used that defense, iirc, were commanders! People who WERE in a position of power to DO SOMETHING about what was going on.

Let them know they have a home to come back to, that's all. In combat, when the bullets are flying, you can't afford to second guess yourself. And it's not as though they can DO anything about it. even if all the good ones proteste, they are bound by military law, and can be shot, and there are more than enough BAD ones to enforce the prevailing evil.

I'm sorry but that was a bad letter you wrote to a common grunt.
Send that to a captain, or a general, or someone WITH authority who CAN do something
but not a grunt. That's just cruel to be honest.

I would like you to notice, as well, that vet, and grunt suicides are at the highest, ever I believe. Sp are you happy to know your baby killers are dying in great numbers? both from their own AND enemy hands? good lords, have some compassion for the grunts, and be useful!

18. Um, I wouldn't like getting that letter if I were in their shoes.
I'm just sayin', hitting someone when he's down is nasty. It's not like the troops don't know something's up, but if they leave, they have to pay back their bonus money and often don't have it anymore, having used it to pay for equipment and pay off loans and such to keep their families going while they're away. If they disobey, it's a dishonorable discharge at the least and prison at the worst. It's all well and good to tell someone to risk prison, but it's another to be that person with a family to feed and bills pouring in while you're getting shot at every day.

Many are speaking out after they're home and out. Let's respect that and support the kids over there now who are trying to come home alive and in one piece.

12. well that's mildly disturbing
and yet... I dunno it does seem logical.
I mean, don't you want to be able to track back laser printer counterfeit money?
Granted knowing this you can just go down to your local Kinkos and use their printers.
Or buy a printer with cash form a shady person. not exactly difficult to get around this.
so I'm torn between caring or not. Good trivia information to know however :)

15. Actually it's probably always been like that
the article says they had this 20 years ago when they first developed the technology.
I hate this argument in every other realm, but seriously, what do you print that could cause you problems?
thought police aside, do you print anything blatantly illegal like kiddie porn? I didn't think so.
Usually I'm the first to throw warning lights on with this kind of thing, but I really cant see a problem with it.
Most likely even my old (1st commercial gen) color laser has this in it.
as long as it does not interfere with the naked fotos of Paris Hilton I printed out, i'm not going to ish. ;)

and if i don't HAVE any yellow ink when I print my manifesto..... mwahahahahaha! :sarcasm:
