1. The other "candidates" should boycott the debate, but we know they wont.
Corporate whores have no conscious.

9. Yes they should!
It's outrageous and it's selective. They should all agree to boycott unless he's included. Kucinich benefits all but the most conservative of the candidates by skewing the curve to the left. They should know that.

6. Yes, thanks for the link, still....
DK's been shut out before, what has changed this time around? It shouldn't have been a surprise. Why is Gravel not pissed?

7. It seems the newspaper is calling the shots this time, not the Dem party.
I think Gravel has hung it up, but Kucinich does have quite a few supporters out there.

18. Of course they won't.
We all know by now that it does not matter how you get there, who you step on or if you even believe in true democracy. It makes me sick, I don't know how anyone could be expected to vote for these people given the show they are putting on.

10. It would be interesting to see who is spending how much for ads in the Register
That sometimes affects these sorts of decisions. Just sayin.

14. Good point, Stephanie. I'm sure Kucinich didn't spend a whole lot
in Iowa. And money does talk (more than Kucinich anyway!).

What debate? I see a lot of love for DK, but no mention of what debate they're talking about.

Would appreciate details, I have Hardball on now, and they're not even talking about it...thanks, :hi:

All I could find online was a Dem debate cancelled on Dec 17  I love my DU, but sometimes it takes a village to get the word out :hi:

19. Ha! This is one sponsored by the Des Moines Register.
The Dems are up tomorrow around 1pm, I think. CSPAN-3 and MSNBC will both supposedly air it. I'm not sure, but it could have been a last minute decision by MSNBC. Anyway, they aired today's debate so most likely they will. As for the time, specifically, I'm not positive.

3. zzzzzzz
can you muzzle a guy nobody cares about?

If a candidate falls out of a debate, and nobody supported him to begin with, did he make a sound when he fell out?

16. The muzzling is already so successful that some folks still do not know who he is.
The resultant appearance of the lack of Kucinich support has manifested itself in the form of apathy and disdain for him, among other things, right on this very board.

21. NO Point having OUTRAGE on DU about Kucinich "Cut OUt" ...because
"INFORMED DU'ERS" told us that Kucinich doesn't have office in Iowa...so he shouldn't be in the Debate.

22. There's a lot of outrage...
He has been treated badly by the Register, after clearly living up to all the debate prequalifications. It says nowhere in there that he has to RENT an office. It says he has to "maintain" an office in the state, period.

I just hope that he can somehow get more mileage from being further marginalized in Iowa.

The other candidates will be grateful to have him gone. He makes ALL of them look like the lying, cheap, corporate weasels they are.

It's pretty easy to see the fear.

25. I'd be outraged if I thought he were serious about his own candidacy
Iowa is, after all, a fairly significant state. You'd think he could set up an office that would qualify for some of these debates. He has become nothing more than a token protest candidate.

27. How many Dems candidates will boycott the debate?
ZERO!

Edwards may consider it, but the others will just add more hairspray and poloitely try to hide their glee.

...can very well now open the door to his running for president as an independent
