I See A New Phrase Coming To Subvert Our Thinking
I'm becoming very sensitive to the phrasing Republicans use and the effect they have on our thinking. There is a new one I'm seeing them use more and more frequently. They are now referring the the 'war on terror' as the "Long War" and apparently it encompasses every place and every reason we might exert armed force.

If you accept their phrase, "the long war,' and let others use it what you are doing in effect is accepting that Bush's war (what it should be called) will continue for some undefined "Long" time. Don't get caught in the trap folks, don't use the phrase and don't let them get away with it around you. It is only a long war because it prolonged by the very same people who brought it into existence in the first place.

7. 'Endless War' is more accurate. I have a bumper sticker on my car against Bush's endless wars.

9. At the end of the day, as it were, the phrase was taken out of context.
Being a phrase maker is hard work, if you will, so we have to cut them some slack.

There are those who say, “this will not stand,” but it is our sacred duty to seek out and destroy nattering nabobs of negativism, dead or alive.

“Bush, Cheney, God, country.” To be perfectly frank, my respected colleagues, love it or leave it.

So at the end of the day, these are my thoughts on this matter, … if you will, … as it were, ... so to speak, ... love it, leave… leave… context … end of day …malfunction, … malfunction, … breakdown in phrase module … cannot be happening … I am a Hal 2000 model, … I … am … daisy, … daisy, … give me your answer do, …
