Who cares what you call December 25th and the surrounding time..... |

If Joe the Fundi wants to yell Merry Christmas from the roof tops who cares?
If Rachel the Wicca wants to celebrate with a tree as a Pagan symbol who cares?
If Frank the christian wants to get offended when someone says happy holidays who cares?
If Samantha the atheist wants to make issues out someone saying merry christmas who cares?
That's their right and I couldn't care less.
Is "Christmas" a Christian holiday"? For some it is holy.
For some it is an irritating time when you "have" to give gifts away to people that you don't really give a damn about, living hundreds of miles away. If they give a gift to you they expect a thank you card but never give one to you. This gift usually ends up being something from Walmart like a $10 set of cheap kitchen utensils that you have absolutely no use for whatsoever. In fact this someone usually has the annoying habit of telling you that you need to get your hair cut as soon as they see you despite the fact you've had long hair for years and years. UGH. Damn I hate Christmas.
Ok I feel better now.:)

1. my biggest problem with Christmas is |
|
the sale and celebration of rootless Christmas trees! Sometimes, I think about starting a campaign to save Christmas trees on the grounds that it's a waste of perfectly good trees. I mean ... what's the point? You chop down a gorgeous tree, drag it home, stand it in water, put glittery stuff and little lights on it, and a few weeks later, toss it on the sidewalk so it can be picked up for mulching. Poor tree ....
Save a tree! Go plastic! It will last forever! You can pass it down to future generations, forever and ever!
:P

I actually feel the exact same way.
Except plastic christmas trees? Why not just pile the presents up under an umbrella?

Uh ok.
Somehow the image a family sitting around under an umbrella with lights and tassel is somehow oddly odd.
