Are YOU doing your part to fascilitate the W ar On Christmas?
I am planning a midnight heist of the Baby Jesus in the manger at the Church of the Nazarene tonight.
Are you doing your part?;)

Hubby doesn't like the tree up before December starts, and I can't say I blame him.

8. A real tree?
I am so jealous! The last time I put up a real tree my daughter ended up in the hospital with severe allergic reactions. My neighbors came to my door on the 15th when they saw my tree in the garbage--concerned that something bad had happened.

18. Oh my! Did you find out what she was allergic to?
We get ours from a small-time tree farmer who doesn't charge much (but also doesn't shake it or drill it, so we have to take it to a tree lot to get that done). He's an awesome guy, so we buy from him.

She could've been allergic to so many things--the grass stuck to it, the particular kind of pine it was, the chemicals they used on it, millions of things. I wonder what it was. That's really scary.

3. I sent out 47 Holiday cards
Edited on Sat Dec-15-07 10:54 PM by mitchtv
1 religious card (it was free)My freeper sister sent me some drivel, to which I replied "Happy Holidays". I also refused the offer for religious stamps from the USPS, surely that gets points.

9. Since you're being so nice I will admit I lied
I don't even have a tree up. But if I did, I would want one of those ornaments. :)

Happy Holidays Horse! Your tree is beautiful.

13. Our staff party is officially a "Holiday" party. Being as it's on New Year's Eve at noon.
We're gonna spit on a picture of Santa and then burn some bibles.

I really hope I don't need to add a sarcasm smilie for the humorically crippled........

15. getting ready for solstice eve bonfire and marshmallow roast
'gonna have 'smores with ritually burned marshmallows over the new fire pit. And on the side table, perhaps a "party cheese ball" (I devised a really good recipe), crackers, and whatever other folks bring.

"Marshmallows roasting on an open fire..."

17. I was thinking tonight how the right-wing nut jobs have to turn everything into a war - even Christ-
mas. It is so typical of these windbags to try to get their mindless supporters into a frenzy to fight another "war".

Why does it always come down to attacking people with these craven cowards anyway (asked and answered :) )

19. Somewhat...I work in a huge corporate-owned clothes store,
and lots of women come in and complain that clothes don't fit them because of their shape.

I like to point at the mannequins and suggest that the clothing manufacturers have no idea we're not all shaped like that. Then I like to suggest that I buy my clothes at the Thrift Shop. Those clothes fit because someone else has "done the work" of stretching them out.

So in my mind these days, Christmas = corporations.:-)
