Tweety coddling OBAMA: "The dark struggle for power by the CLINTONs" |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-20-07 05:44 PM by UTUSN
Don't miss the first 10 minutes of the re-run. Tweety donned knight-in-shining-armor armor, supposedly for OBAMA. He started by listing the various "attacks" by the CLINTONs and their flying monkeys-- the kindergarten attack, the attack on his voting record---uh, after every other one, Tweety would say, "O.K., that one is legitimate". So nearly half or so turned out to be legitimate.
Now, before going any further, the kindergarten and another one I can't think of right now are the most WEAK SISTER "attacks" I can imagine.
The debate was between (Ed?) SHULTZ defending OBAMA against the meanie CLINTONs and somebody named GREEN, who is (head of Air America?). Tweety and SHULTZ ran over each other trying to delineate how MEAN the CLINTONs are. GREEN was able to get in there a bit and said all of these things were "NORMAL," and nothing like Shrub's campaign against McCAIN about a Black child and LBJ saying JFK wouldn't live out a full term because of Addison's Disease.
Then Tweety upped the ante, saying that KERREY's bringing up "Hussein" as OBAMA's middle name, and that Mark PENN had brought up cocaine 3 or 4 times on Hardball.
Now, I'm not fully settled on anybody. My overarching belief is that we ALWAYS have a great group of Dems running, that just about ANY Dem is light years better than ANY Rethug. But after having our "noble" Dem nominees trashed by Shrub twice, I firmly believe we HAVE to have one some TOUGH somebody, a streetfighter with street smarts.
It's not just Tweety, but Rethugs like SCARBOROUGH and others are in a current talking points scenario where they are "defending" poor Senator OBAMA against those MEAN CLINTONs. They sure ain't doing it from any nobility on their part.

3. I wish he'd quit sniffin around in Hillary's underwear drawer |
|
He is fuckin obsessed with her. I'm sure part of it is simmering resentment over not getting hired as a Clinton speechwriter but there is also kind of a sick sexual side of it. I can't watch the drooling asswipe but I keep reading about it.

15. Tweety might be in a Clinton's "underwear drawer", but I don't think it's Hillary's, |
|
He DID wax poetic over President Cod-piece and AquaVelva Thompson.

I imagine could fit into a "talking point." Yaas, I always try to picture what I look like staying up 24/7 transcribing talking points as they come in by FAX, or is it by e-mail?!1---I get those mixed up.

6. Thanks for pointing everybody to the rerun. I also think its very important |
|
for all to see. Not everyone will come away with your take on it, but that's OK. Its good to see it in the MSM.

7. Tweety Hates Hillary!!!! |
|
I thought he was going to have a stroke this morning when he was ranting about her Christmas ad. He is really giving Obama a free ride because he wants him to be the nominee.
I hope the people in Iowa realize we need someone strong not someone the media coddles until the general election when they tear him to shreads because he can not take a punch.

9. When did foul mouthed, cynical Tweety get religion? He's praised HUCKLEBERRY & Mittenfurher multiple |
|
times. First saying that the Huckster's Xmas ad was "masterful" then saying again, as he has almost every day since Mitts gave his "religion" speech, that the speech was GREAT. Now, with SCARBOROUGH also praising the Mitters speech, saying, "I'm with you on that, BROTHER, I'm with you on that!1"

10. Yup. They are working to dismantle Obama and posssibly swat at Hillary. |
|
Hillary may get some gain from the "tough" angle...but mostly Edwards benefits.

18. What i'm seeing is represented in the first paragraph of the OP: |
|
"Don't miss the first 10 minutes of the re-run. So nearly half or so turned out to be legitimate."
Tweety points out Obamas "flaws" in his supposed defense of Obama - and then actually agrees with some of them in his own comments. Clinton and Obama both end up slammed, which would benefit Edwards and the others. Edwards positive press is expanding while the media harps on Clinton vs Obama. Tweety hasn't been the only one doing this lately.

Frankly, I found it hard to concentrate since Matthews spits all over his bottom lip when he talks and I was fascinated watching the slime drool get larger and larger through the segment, but I digress.
It seems Matthews can't win. If he goes after Clinton he's a shill (because he wants Hillary in the general so she can be soundly defeated), if he goes after Obama he's a shill (because he's propping him up so he can be soundly defeated in the general). I'm no fan of his, but that doesn't leave much room for not being a shill.
BTW, NBC nightly news, obviously seen by a whole lot more people, had an unfavorable piece on Obama, saying he's a lightweight, and naive and has more lofty platitudes than actual policy, so maybe Matthews had a counterbalance.
