Looks Like UAL Has Lots of Sick......

....Airbus 320/19 Pilots....I just spoke with a friend of mine who works in OPS at UAL and said that 75% of the Pilot crews called in sick this AM.....Also UA has CXLD most of their Denver schedule.....There have been rumors something like this would happen....their Pilots are sick of the BS that management keeps pulling on them.

I'm headed out to DEN on the 6th and Zaplat Panbuh I'm on Airtran. One of my co-workers is a recently retired triple-seven Captain who lost 70% of his retirement and he has no kind words for his former employer.

My prediction in 2008, many business travelers will replace expensive tickets with VLJs.

UAL had traded on treating professional employees like shit for WAY too long. People who have to fly United have my condolences. People who choose to fly UAL get what they get and damned little sympathy. The airline has been hostile to employees for friggen DECADES.

10. This Is Just A Start......

....Possibly next week this could be expanded possibly on Jan 2nd the scheduled busiest day of the holiday this year....that is if management doesn't make a major quick U-Turn but don't count on it.

7. My friend's flight to Denver was cancelled - it was for today and he received

notice yesterday. He was able to get on another United flight.

9. Some of the delays were due to snow and deicing.
