Edwards' public financing no problem; Blankly predicts GOP Brokered Convention
"I don't have a candidate yet. I either disagree with each on important points or have doubts about the electability of each. But most of all, I fear our intraparty fury will destroy all leaders and send us off to a brokered convention -- and from thence, probably to defeat. If the Democrats have their candidate by February and we are campaigning harshly until August, we surely would start in a deep hole."

Tony Blankley, full oped here: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/12/none_of_the_above_gop_heading.html

The pukes are so divided that their race to the bottom could last until August. This would neutralize any worry that Edwards, Biden, or any other candidate taking public funds would suffer until the GE starts. The pukes will be spending all they have on each other.

1. McCain will sew it up by the end of March.

2. Wow. McCain in March. Thanks for the bold prediction.
I think McCain would be their best bet. I think he would still lose the GE.

When will the pukes figure it out, and land on Old Man InSane?

3. They'll have a candidate by the end of February
I don't know who it will be, but I don't see any brokered conventions for either side.

4. I don't see the brokered conventions, either. But, I don't think the pukes
will know in Feb or March.

5. With over 20 states, including most of the biggies, voting on
Feb. 5, I think they'll almost certainly have a candidate by the end of that month.

6. The Republicans are desperate not to vote for their candidates.
If they could write in, they'd pick ANYONE ELSE.
