Halliburton Foundation Publishes Donors, Operates More Transparently Than Clinton Foundation
With a free subscription to GuideStar.org, you can http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2006/751/212/2006-751212458-03426562-F.pdf">view the 2006 Form 990 for the Halliburton Foundation.

It's http://www.halliburton.com/Default.aspx?navid=367&pageid=1003">stated purposes are noble indeed.

***************************************************

* Matching U.S. based employee donations on a two-for-one basis up to $20,000 annually per employee for accredited junior colleges, colleges and universities;

* Matching U.S. based employee donations to accredited elementary and secondary schools on a two-for-one basis up to $500 annually per employee;

* Making direct donations to U.S. based elementary and secondary schools and colleges and universities; and

* Recognizing and supporting active U.S. based employee volunteerism with direct donations through the Halliburton Volunteer Incentive Program.

***************************************************

Subjective arguments about why many Halliburton employees "earn" enough to have a spare $20K lying around to donate are beside the point, as are subjective arguments about why Halliburton has the spare cash lying around to match.

If we're going to apply a single standard to protect the corporatists, we have to apply it even-handedly.

And the Clinton Foundation still hasn't voluntarily disclosed its donors yet.

59. Draw Your Own Conclusions...
... from the primary documents.

You accuse me of wanting everyone to buy into my conclusion, when I've repeatedly invited others to view the primary documents, and draw their own.

My point is simple: voters should make informed choices, and these primary documents (the redacted and unredacted versions of the donor lists) are one set of data many may find to be worthy of consideration as they make said informed choice.

When they tested me in kindergarten, the county school system and my parents were a little freaked. The results were quietly locked away, and they came up with a stopgap program for me until I was old enough to do the regular program. I asked to see them for a while, but gave up.

Maybe that's why lack of data disclosure bugs me so much.
