I think it does. Bhutto was a populist who likely would have derailed many of the Friedmanesque, neocon, "free market" reforms that are in process there, the effects of which likely lead to the possibility of her election.
In fact, on CSPAN right now they are showing a repeat of a speech she gave in which she is discussing the profiteering of the military-industrial complex....
