A puzzling question RE: Bhutto murder: WHAT PRACTICAL ROLE SHOULD THE STATE DEPT HAVE BEEN PLAYING? |
|
A serious attempt on her life had already taken place.
There were plots to kill her again, and they were known by the intel services.
The candidate was making her final push to secure her upcoming victory. She was exposed.
She herself had complained that the security needs were being ignored by MushMouth.
Joe Biden was concerned and was writing letters to Mushee telling him to get the security on line.
WHAT PRACTICAL ROLE SHOULD THE STATE DEPT HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN PROVIDING SECURITY, KNOWING THE THREAT LEVEL?
I submit to you that we brokered the deal for her to come back, then we served her up on a platter.
Why?
Because we want to destroy democracy everywhere. We're willing to destroy it here and its for dang sure that we don't want it in any Islamic country. Just look at the results in Palestine; how'd that work out for BushCo?

1. She was a strong, independent woman |
|
not a puppet - she knew what was required to campaign in Pakistan and she knew the danger. You denigrate a proud, wonderful woman by your "everything is bush's fault" logic.

9. you really need to do some research on her |
|
"kelptocrat in a hermes` scarf" was her nickname in europe and her husband`s was "mr 10%". they stole hundreds of millions of dollars from pakistan and were hounded across europe for corruption and money laundry.some writers claim she was forgiven of all charges in the west and pakistan this year so she could return to pakistan to challenge the military. so it boils down to the fact that they used her and she used them.
the pakistani people are the biggest losers in this tale of greed, egos, and corruption.

6. As horrible as her death is, isn't it a catch 22 to say officials should have prevented it? |
|
What made her special is the same thing that made Ghandi special, and MLK special... Fearlessness. How do you stop that?
I don't blame anyone but the sick mindset that encouraged her death.
We have to be worried that power might accept this as a method to erradicate the opposition, and that people won't care anymore because they accept is as "part of politics," which is a sick pathological development.

8. They were begging for protection and since we brokered the deal |
|
it was our responsibility to pressure Mushy to provide it. The result cannot be unexpected.
