Are there any moderate Republicans?
I hate Hillary, and Obama hasn't a chance

I'm Irish/Canadian and my vote won't count.

But the outcome will affect me and my children.

Don't tell me my thoughts don't count cos only 50-60% Muricans even bother to vote.

My advice to my kids - Learn Mandarin - Sleeping Tiger

1. I've never understood how a citizen in any democracy could fail to vote in
in an election.

10. But he only wants
to drop nuclear weapons on a half-dozen countries. Quite moderate by today's republican standards.

14. What's considered moderate nowadays,
used to be batshit loco a few decades ago. So there might be, but it's still a psychotic philosophy. Mitt version 1.0 used to be fairly moderate, and Ghouliani, believe it or not, had some moderation on social issues. But to cater to the mouth-breathers, they've 'seen the light'.

17. They are all toe tapping, diaper wearing freaks like Senators Vitter and Craig
Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 09:09 PM by NNN0LHI
The GOP has some kind of dirt on each and every one of them to keep them in line. Otherwise they wouldn't be in Washington.

Thats the problem.

20. Sure, but none running for President.
There's Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others. But they're a dying breed. When I was young there were liberal republicans, moderate republicans, and conservative republicans. All the liberals and most of the moderates are gone now.

25. Alot of them got bumped off by Dems......
My district used to be represented by Connie Morella---a moderate Rethug (in liberal Montgomery County,MD thats the ONLY type of Rethug that gets elected). But finally we wised up a few years ago and voted in a very liberal rep--Chris Van Hollen...He has an excellent track record in Congress, too....
