The clairvoyance of DUers
How do they do it? What magical power enables so many DUers to know, with utter certainty, who will win Iowa and who will win the Democratic nomination?

I have no idea who will win either of those, and so I'm in awe of their mystical abilities.

1. I could tell you, but . . .
I prefer the aura of mystery my very existence engenders.

3. Meh. It's just wishful thinking combined with diarrhea of the keyboard.
No law against that, I suppose.

6. Nope, it's just common sense, plus the courage to embrace it
For the millionth time, I wish we had access to the 2002 DU threads so you could see how people predicted civil war, the possibility of Iraq breaking up into religion-based regions, and of course not sending enough troops!

:headbang:

13. It's the polls. DUers are addicted to polls, and we have been polled on all decisions.
I love polls.

15. Did you ever stop to consider.. that some time in the distant future...
some hacker will figure out a way to go back and change the DU archives so that certain posters look smart?

And that is what you are seeing now...

17. If I knew how to do that
I'd go back and insert properly time-stamped correct predictions of events under my name, and then I'd set up a Web site advertising my psychic services.

Not that psychics seem to need evidence of accuracy, though.

Far more common than logic or even spelling. :silly:
