2. Who in their right mind would buy ground beef sold at some roadside stand |
|
along with velvet paintings of Elvis and nekkid lady matadors? Or some guy opens his trenchcoat and shows you some packages of ground beef along with some fake Rolex watches? You HAVE to assume that shit will give you the most heinous imaginable combination of projectile vomiting and the Hershey-squirts.

4. Well, I probably wouldn't but we used to buy fresh shrimp from roadside sellers |
|

and around here it's often the best place to get affordable and fresh produce - so I can see the temptation. edit: on the shrimp, I meant when we lived in Tampa ;-)

11. we get the shrimp right off the boats at the dock... |
|
occasionally we'll stop by shrimpers pick up on the side of the road(they put them in large coolers on ice and sell for a discount, a little more than they get wholesale, but quite a bit less than retail. Also mexicans sell tamales that way(only hot), best damn tamales in the world too!
but beef, chicken, pork....nahhhhh!

7. I buy ground beef at a little roadside stand |
|
Of course beef is organic grass fed from a farm a few miles away. And all the produce sold there is organic as well.

One time, hauling a load of ground beef, the refrigeration went out. Summer. There was an ALPO canning plant near by and it was suggested they try to unload the meat there in hurry.
The ALPO folks would not take it, even free. Well known hamburger chain local franchise king took it.
