What the HELL is CNN doing? What a buncha dumbasses! |
|

I'm watch AC 360 and there is a dickhead on there reporting on a hypothetical terrorist attack on Philly.
They are practically laying the groundwork and drawing up the blueprints for an attack that would have a couple of suicide bomber trucks attack a chemical plant which produces hyroflouric acid that, when combined with water or other chemicals, could make a toxic cloud that would kill anyone downwind from it.
Why don't they just put a stamp on it and send it to the terrorists?
Now they are giving the terrorists ideas for Boston. Sheesh!

4. If CNN has come up with it... |
|
You can bet that a terrorist organization has already considered it. CNN is no innovator, in this or any other venture.

stated, but I were to see that, I would be on the phone or internet emailing a complaint about what they are doing and demanding that they stop.

1. Anybody who knows much about chemistry already knows HF is toxic as all hell.
2. The terrorists already know that such a plan is as stupid as hell, and would never work.
3. The only people stupid enough to worry about such a plan already have their plastic sheeting and duct tape up, and are watching Fox News anyway.

7. With all the chemicals trains running through |
|
our towns here in Texas, I figured we were all goners. My dad lives "close enough" to a rail that moves transportation equipment en route from the manufacturer to Fort Hood. And then it comes through my city loaded on a train on its way to port. And Port of Corpus Christi has Army vehicles stacked up everywhere. I'm surprised the terrorists haven't attacked us here at the source if they wanted to work agaisnt the army.

8. That crap is so overblown |

They are catering to the '24' crowd.
Actually, it is so much easier.
I could take 30 guys with an assortment of backpacks, PVC pipe, and wire and shut down Christmas, College Bowl games, NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl.
Not to mention bringing the US economy to its knees.
Or worse.
And, with luck, we wouldn't have to kill a single person.

is actually more dangerous to the general public as David Broncachio pointed out on PBS.
Used by all refineries and capable of killing millions in a singe release.

11. Umm...and to think of all the investigative journalism |
|
They could be doing at a time like this, it simply boggles the mind.
Personally....I'm having "hearings withdrawal" this week. My favorite evening TV lately. (besides KO of course).

12. Gee, what are all these terrorists WAITING for? |
|
I mean, there are public libraries in small towns in Iowa with practically NO security! This is HUGH!!!111!! I'm SERIES!!!111!!
Could it be that, um, that there AREN'T, um, really, very many terrorists actually working in America? Like, practically none? Could that possibly explain the complete absence of foreign terrorist attacks here for going on seven years now, despite our actively waging war against them around the world? Huh? Maybe?
No, no, no! What am I thinking? Hasn't "24" shown the true danger? Vigilance! Sleeper cells are everywhere, just biding their time for, um, the right moment! Lock up your children! Look under the bed! Terra! Terra! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

The problem with the program is that every scenario presented is likely to happen without home grown or foreign terrorists.
Poor Anderson doesn't realize that what he's showing is the greed and irresponsibility of corporate power as citizens are exposed to dangerous situations 24/7. He's also exposing government indifference as neglected levies or wearing power plants will create way more problems. The marriage between the government and special interests means that corporate donors can build housing developments in the middle of disasters just waiting to happen without any assistance from terrorists. The fear-mongering is overbearing.
People are slowly connecting the dots and a backlash awaits all these criminals.
