Our dems in Washington need to pound on the veteran's issues |
|
day after day after day after day. The American people need a shock, and the republican's policies towards vets is the real "shock and awe" of our times.

I have no health insurance but rarely visit the VA because it takes all fucking day to see a doctor. A former high school football teammate of mine died in the VA because of their incompetence. What are us old farts supposed to do? Maybe the young ones coming back from Iraq will wake the fucking generally dumb public up, and they will do something.

9. We need to wake them up |
|
I go to the VA as often as I can just to talk to the vets. That seems to make their day better. I have seen some crap that pisses me off. Budget cuts are killing vets. Clinics being closed lack of staff. Once saw a IV backed up on the kid man did I go off yelling at the floor nurse. We Need to wake America and bring them home. Did you know every dam Republican got a failing grade on veterans issues for the last six dam years. It makes this vet sick

10. I'm 60 miles away from the VA |

They should just offer us a major medical health policy based on income and financial worth. Median income and below would get it free. Those just above should pay a little. The rich bastards at the top should pay the going rate for health insurance.

And pound it into the public consciousness that this is NOT "Support" but more bait and switch from the right.

7. They were all over Walter Reed Hosp. today. |

The social work side of the recovery process has really been ineffective and neglected.
The guys in the wards at WRAMC are getting great treatment. Once you are discharged from the wards, it sounds like you're on your own.
