Does the world depend on electing my guy, Edwards? |
|
No.
It doesn't depend on electing your guy/gal, either.
It may very well depend on us keeping some war-mongering republican out of the White House again.
Please remember this when you attempt to demoralize your primary opponent's supporters.
Have a great New Year, and let's virtually toast the prospects of a huge Democratic win in November.

5. Don't be silly.Of course not .My individual world would definitely change either way |
|
But an Edwards Presidency would definitely effect the whole world for better.

The OP asked if the world depends on Edwards getting the nomination.
Clearly it doesn't.

Who the US elects, and I think the Democratic Nominee will win, effects the world. That is obvious with the IWAR.And I do not believe all Democratic candidates are equal. Some will cause us to effect very little change at all and that will not be a good thing.

10. The world's gonna be here until some big asteroid smashes it to smithereens |
|
Or the sun burns out.
And when that happens it won't matter who the president is.

8. Never underestimate the republicans, or overestimate the voters. |
|
I used to have more faith in the electorate...but in 2004 that was really shaken.
People *knew* what the shithead was like, and some *still* voted for him... enough to make it close enough that the voter suppression and vote stealing could work. With their corporate control of the media, one "scream" can turn this thing around.
I want Edwards, but I will happily support and accept any of the Dems over any of the repubs.
