3. One repuke has already told me it's the soldiers' fault |
|
"They were not forced to join the military. They should have gone to college like me. Bush is doing a fantastic job. He can't help it a bunch of losers are coming back from Iraq and complaining".
I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of the conversation.

It's not as though anyone in the press will question them about it.

But on MSNBC today the commentator did not blame Clinton but he said that you couldn't blame it all on the present administration, that the previous administrations were equally responsible. Yeah, somewhat but the previous administrations have not systematically cut the vet benefits over and over the way bush has.

10. It's Our Fault For Paying Attention |
|
...heck, just like the Repugnicans did to the Vietnam Vets, they want us to ignore the Iraqi vets as well. Outta sight outta mind ya know. This will especially be the case as the GOOPers look for someone to blame "losing Iraq" on and it's so easy to peg it on a broken down soldier.
Heck...we just ignore 'em, they'll go away :sarcasm:
The only thing worse that the selfishness and arrogance of this regime, is its cheapness.

19. That, or "It is scheduled to be one of the base closings" |
|
The administration had already decided to close down Walter Reed and move everything to Bethesda Naval. So why would they want to spend money rehabing a building that is scheduled to be closed. Um, perhaps because you are putting wounded soldiers in it? There is NO excuse for this.
