I can see the inspector collect all the suspects in a room. Tea is served, and a maid vanishes when he waves his hand.
You can hear a needle drop. The inspector clears his throat, clicks his heels (an annoying habit from the days in the military) and rests his eyes on the heavy chandelier in the ceiling.
- The murderer is here in this room with us, he says and scowles at Mr. Mehsud, head of the Al-Queda Pakistan branch communications office. Who was only in for a round of tennis and a quick snifter, really. Not at all involved with this crowd, not him.
He squirms under the unforgiving eyes of the inspector, coughs uncomfortably and flushes when he realizes everybody is looking at him.
- What .. me? I'm only here for the terror, I mean tennis.
But Mr. Meshud doesn't know the trick up the inspector's sleeve; he was seen romping with the maid earlier that day in the linen room and had both motive and opportunity to commit the murder. His barely concealed AK47 also gave him away as a more sinister player in another game than 'just tennis', thank you very much. It's amazing what you learn to detect with years of meticulous training. Everybody holds their breath as the inspectors eyes bore into Mr. Meshud, like one of those new airport scanners that can see you nude through your clothes. Everyone edges out on their chairs, waiting for the verdict to fall.
But the inspector had other plans...
Suddenly he buries his mighty scowl into the glasses of the mild mannered Mr. Musharraf, breaking the left glass on impact.
- You!, he shouts loudly and directs one accusing finger at Mr. Musharraf. - You!
The chandelier is swinging slowly above the inspector, sending eerie shadows across his face.

But then again, how likely is it really that the inspector would accuse Mr. Musharraf?
