So ..... Mukasey appoints some guy from Connecticut to be the acting AAG for the eastern District of Virginia. (Huh????) Supposedly the guy's a bulldog and incorruptible. (Where have we heard of such a guy before? Oh yeah ..... the Plame inaction.)

Good Germa .... er ..... Republican Tom Keane (father of The Candidate (R-NJ) and former successful Candidate(R-NJ) hizzownself) and Master Whitewasher Lee (Really, I **am** a Democrat) Hamilton cry foul. "Obstruction ... Huzzah! ... Obstruction", they yell full throatedly.

Why now?

Who knows. But rest assured, this will lead to NOTHING beyond protection for the Boy King and his snarly master, The Bionic Muthafukker.

There are no winners here. Surely not Slam Dunk Tenet, who, we can all rest assured, will take the biggest political fall. Surely not the CIA operatives who committed the deed itself. Yeah, one or two may get Scootered, but in the end, they'll be ..... well ... Scootered.

The losers, however, are legion. A legion of 300+ million. To include you and me.

The CIA loses. Yeah, they do bad shit. But a lot of them over there are simply what all too many these days are called .... patriots. They actually DO believe in what they do and do it for love of country. While their politically motivated bosses call the shit shots, the little guys over there get to eat the shit sandwiches that will be served after the final credits roll.
