check out or buy "Where the Sun Never Shines: a History of America's Bloody Coal Industry" (1989), by Priscilla Long. She worked on that book for around 20 years, and it is in many ways the untold story of all labor in America.

He seems very personable and funny. Also dangerous if he runs against either Clinton or Obama since he's trying to blur the distinction between parties especially by running as an economic populist.
