the name for the lastest operation in Iraq.

Could they rub the real purpose of this murderous killing spree in a less "in your face" manner???

Why isn't this blasted all over the front pages of newspapers?

I don't watch TV much, and heard this at my bf's Monday evening and am just now having time to post it.

Maybe there was talk about it, but since the operation started on valentine's day maybe it got buried under the heart threads.

Our illegal invasion was named Operation Iraqi Freedom. The original name, as widely reported before the war was "rolled out", was Operation Iraqi Liberation.

An earlier article I read that has since disappeared referred to the Iraqi code name as Operation Imposing Law. I do wish that the name of the operation didn't have such an unfortunate acronym. The nutroots will have a field day with this.
