If this country wants to continue its slide
into a theocratic society...they will elect Huckabee.

I don't give a damn what anyone says, that man will turn us into one. He will always...always insert his religious beliefs into his political decisions if he were President.

He scares the HELL out of me.

He wants women to submit to their husbands, let them take the lead, make the decisions. Well here is one woman who will NEVER submit!!!

I have a brain, and a mind, and I can think for myself.

4. I agree
but the mere fact that he came out on top of the Repug pile is scary to me. I can't stand any of them, but to me he is the worst of the lot because of how he injects his religious beliefs into his speeches and everything else.

All the talking heads made hay out of Romney's religion--being a Mormon--and to be fair they have brought up Huckabee's religion as well, but the MSM don't seem to fear it as much.

Just my take I guess.

3. We May Need to Cross Over and Vote in The Repig Primaries to Stop Him
If Fuckabee gets the Repiglickon nomination, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP HIM!

With the Mighty Slime Machine behind him, he would beat anybody we've got.

6. Not a chance
You honestly believe all those wealthy GOPhers honestly want a theocratic government that will
keep them away from all the vices they love? The fundies are the decided minority.

11. They Do Not Want to Live Under a Theocracy, They Want to Live Above it Like Sheiks in Saudi Arabia
Those vices would be even more delicious to them if they are denied to everyone else,
and there is nothing like a theocracy to keep the people in line.

12. Southern fundies HATE rich people ... hate them like hardline Marxists do
I grew up with Southern Baptists. Huckabee would be gunning for them -- AND taxing them to help pay for
social programs.

19. They hate rich people in real life, but love them on TV
Unfortunately for us, Presidential campaigns are largely carried out on TV.

20. Since when? My crazy uncle's wife talks about Laura Bush's "whore dresses" and "rich person morals"
Sam Walton lived until he died in a 2200 square foot house because the locals didn't want him to be
"above his raisin'."

10. Actually, no
I'm a big fan of the sci-fi show Babylon 5. He was named after Captain John Sheridan, the Commander of the space station.

His AKC name even uses one of the episode titles: Claridge Sky Full of Stars. I thought it worked since he comes from a show dog lineage.

18. Not at all
When I first told my parents what his name would be, they thought I had named him for a Civil War General named Sheridan. I use to have a dog named General Lee and I guess they figured I was continuing the tradition. :D

more like a Democratic continental shift...

The Republicons are finished regardless...

14. It's also about setting back science education, and that means the
industry that goes with R&D, progressive indistries like researching new fuel alternatives, stem cell research, environmental advancements, etc. Our kids will have the worst science and technology education of all of the industrialized nations.

That is the kind of people he attracts. Worse yet, he doesn't want those kinds of advances either.

Thus the scary as hell feeling I have about him. :scared:
