My friend is debating the local war hawks and I was looking for the stats that I heard on airamerica yesterday.
They were about how most of the military enlistments and deaths come from below average income towns but I don't have the numbers. I'll keep searching but it would be a great help if someone already knows where to find those numbers.
Thanks,

Probably something these "local war hawks" don't have.
Hopefully someone can lead you to the statistics, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Heck, Moore did a whole segment on it during F911. Lower income folks have nowhere else to go, and the military seduces them with offers of cash, prizes, education, knowledge. Someone who is getting a degree from a University, or who has wealthy enough parents to support them, is NOT going to enlist and risk dying. Someone without those options, might consider it.
I don't see how you can argue with people too stupid to understand logic. Would it be their contention that higher income kids actually serve in the military? You can't fight stupidity, and the 30% of our population will have that characteristic.
