TO THE NEXT PRESIDENT HILLARY CLINTON
Obama with the help of Oprah and all the students she bussed in from other states might have taken ONE STATE...and by the way bush didn't win Iowa, but there are 49 others and just watch the dust settle on Obama when she leaves him standing there.

Dean won Iowa in 2004 didn't he...Why then was Kerry the candidate.

3. Still in denial aren't you?
Sorry, but with the Iowa win, Obama is at this very moment translating that win into major money. He has a good NH organization, and is running very close with Clinton there. He has a very good chance to win NH, and an even better one at winning S. Carolina.

Sorry, but Clinton has to play some serious catchup, and her prospects really don't look good at all.

...to anybody who complains about Obama supporters trying to crown Obama President this early. Clinton *lost*, and her supporters are still trying to crown her.

Sorry if you don't know what I'm talking about. I just remember seeing a comment about this sort of thing on another thread.

and Obama won because more dems voted for him than Clinton or Edwards- along with independents and repukes. He goes into NH with the wind at his back. He's now the favorite, and I don't see him blowing it.

10. Dean lost in Iowa by a large margin
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 02:30 PM by alcibiades_mystery
Now that we got your initial know-nothing inaccuracy out of the way, let's look at the other compound claims:

1) Please provide your detailed statistical proof that "students bussed in from other states" caused Mr. Obama's large victory.

2)Please provide credible empirical evidence that large numbers of students WERE bussed in from other states.

3) Please explain why getting legitimate voters to their correct polling (or caucusing) place is somehow illegitimate or unethical.

Thank you.

Dean lost Iowa....he got third, just like Clinton.

There is no proof at all that Obama bussed in supporters from other states to take part directly in the caucuses. Intrestingly enough, Dean did so when it came to volunteers and got his ass handed to him for the practice....and he placed THIRD. I should know because I was a Dean supporter and watched the whole campaign derail.

This blatant attempt at rewriting history and making shit up is why many people call certain DUers "Hillbots". If you cannot come to the table with an honest argument, don't come to the table at all. You are insulting all of our intelligence and destroying whatever bit of reputation you have here with this drive-by tripe.

I hope they are paying you for this, because otherwise it is shooting yourself and your candidate in the foot for not more reason than blind loyalty.

surely she leaves him LYING there! What's with the standing?

I agree with you though that Hillary can still be 44. Obama's the frontrunner, now the fun part really starts: the godhead has many manifestations: the Goddess of Peace shall become the Goddess of War, then the Goddess of Victory! (Or at least, here's hoping!)

57. "all the students she bussed in" Pure slander. At my caucus . . .
where 550 people showed up, the demographics between groups was somewhat similar.

The precinct I was in has some students (college town), but is a good mix of professionals, blue collar.

Participation was up from 385 in 2004, and that 166 person increase was sure as hell not all 'college students'. The age distribution at the caucus seemed fairly representative of what I see walking around the neighborhood. If anything, there were LESS student looking types than I would have anticipated, and this was a precinct where that dastardly Obama would have dumped all the students Oprah bussed in.

- Edwards/Obama groups appeared to be a uniform cross section of the population.

- Richardson/Biden/Dodd groups few less younger/older, appeared to trend a bit more to Professional/Academic.

- Clinton group trended older.

The results:

550 total (385 in 2004) 83 required for viability.

1st/2nd/3rd Round (percentages in paran), Delegates

Clinton……125 (23)…..132 (24)…..147 (27)....5
Edwards….…90 (16)…..117 (21)…..127 (23)…..4
Obama…….162 (29)…...176 (32)…..179 (33)…..5
Biden………46 (8)…….34..
Dodd……….14 (3)……..0..
Kucinich……..7 (1)…….0..
NotCommit….40 (7)……0..
Richardson…..60 (11) .88 (16)…..97 (17)…..3
Gravel…………0……0

550 total final count, so everyone who came moved to a viable candidate.

So, in the end, Clinton and Obama tie (delegates). But the percent differences between Obama/Clinton/Edwards are somewhat similar to the statewide result. Richardson's strong showing in my precinct probably hurt Edwards a bit.
