Seabiscuit? ?
What are the Edwards thinking? they think this is a horse race, this is not about being the underdog, its about POLICIES and what you BELIEVE in, its about reaching out to the people, giving the people their respect that they deserve, not treating them as idiots by conning for votes.

For so long people have been conned into voting for the wrong guy, voting for idiots, look where that has taken us, war with Iraq, Afghanistan and a threaten war with Iran, oil price reaching $100s, these are the things people should be thiunking about instead of trying to CONN the electorate.

2. Huh?
The only one who has been speaking specifically
to issues that affect so many people is Edwards.

5. Issues much?
This sounds like it's lifted directly from FR.

Why are people here on DU so threatened by any of our candidates? MKJ

7. No, I DID NOT....
I heard Elizabeth Edwards AND John Edwards referring to themselves as Seabiscuit and the underdog.

This was part of their speech this morning in New Hampshire.

9. Denis is Seabiscuit
He claimed that mantle a long time ago. Unfortunately, I love the man, but he limped in long after the leaders crossed the finish line.

Edwards's policies with which you may disagree, you instead got the fainting vapors at a metaphorical reference and then subsequently called a DEMOCRATIC candidate an idiot and a con artist, which is precisely the type of post one sees on a regular basis at FR.

11. Thats twice you've tried to label me......
a Freeper, you must have lost your marbles over there at Iowa, maybe just maybe you might be able to find them again at New Hampshire.

My question is why would a candidate indirectly ruled themselves out by saying they are the underdog, you have to step up the tempo or as they say 'step up a notch' on your game plan.

Thats what I'm trying to say, now don't you ever in your self centered brain (square box)refer to me as speaking Freeper language, because I don't, for once think outside the "fucking" box.

:grr:

13. I explained why your post, insulting a Democratic candidate had that
particular tone.

I meant to reply to your response to my post, BTW. Sorry about the confusion.

What I don't understand is why you didn't ask that perfectly valid question in your OP, but instead called a Democratic candidate for the presidency a con artist and an idiot, which does sound as if it's lifted from "you know where".

15. If anything, the most important lesson I've
learned being part of this great forum is to read between the lines of majority of post on DU, I always try not to rush or have irrational judgment on issues posted.

12. I Like Oyster Crackers
I don't really care for seabiscuits. They tend to get rather soggy rather quickly.

But I do really like oyster crackers.

So crisp.

So salty.

Just right alone or with a hot bowl of chowder.

Yum!

16. just because you choose to isolate this statement
doesn't mean it's the totality of his campaign.

To say that he's conning someone with his appeal is itself misleading and presumptuous. It's YOU who has excluded the substance of his appeal from your argument. Edwards has provided more than enough reaching out and respect. His appeal is for a focus on the needs and concerns of the poor, working class, and the otherwise disadvantaged. His out of Iraq proposal far exceeds those of his closest rivals.

Enough with the biased distortions.
