I especially liked this Unamerican gem from post #8:

"***We can all have our opinions here but God will choose the person to lead this country, He has the grand plan and it will work out according to His will."

Last time I read the Constitution, the American people chose their office-holders and not God.

I will say one thing about RR. They have a much wider selection of emoticons than we do.

2. I know a Dominionist fundy who believes that God "chooses" the winners.
She always votes Republican, natch. However, when the failures of w are pointed out to her, she shrugs and says, "I don't really worry about it, because it doesn't matter how we vote. God chooses the president."

4. She shouldn't bother voting then.
She should stay home and let God do his work! ;-)

9. I wish that she wouldn't, but she does.
Trots right down for every election and votes for the hardest-right candidate on the ballot, just like her pastor told her to.

God must really really hate us then.

10. I was still an on-the-fence believer in 2000.
I thought that Bush might be divine punishment for our arrogance. Unfortunately for foreigners who have no part in our "sins," that wrath is not landing just on us.

Yeah, but I find them annoying; almost like having a TeeVee on everywhere you go.

Man, you sure need to know scripture or scripture-like utterances to go there!

12. Well I hope they all stay home on election day and let God decide who wins.

In fact, somebody should tell them that voting is an insult to God because it's God's decision afterall.

13. Does God choose the leaders of other countries too?
And is this just a recent thing? I'd like an explanation of Hitler.
