Until then, the corporate fascism will continue to exist.

The question is how to get there from here?

8. There is a way to compromise on this
Create a "V-chip" for TV political ads. Allow Americans to purchase this device and install them in their TV if they wish to block political ads from airing in their home.

4. If we want the Democratic Party to be a national party, that will require money
And cutting off access to it will not help Democrats to spread the party's message in the South and the Mountain West.

Public financing is fine, but candidates should also be free to raise and spend money even if they take the matching funds.

6. We need full public financing, every candidate needs to be on an equal playing field.
As it stands now the candidates who appeal to the rich can get much more funding than the candidate who appeals to the common American citizen because the rich have much more money to give. We need to change the system to ensure that our elections are not run by money, if the playing field is equal we can compete with the wealthy. If not then they will beat us in the money game every single time. We simply do not have the resources that the very rich do, public financing would change that.

7. I agree with the public financing, but there needs to be television ads.
And those television ads should be aired free of charge on the public airwaves. The corporations don't own the airwaves we do, and it is important to give our candidates time to tell the public where they stand.
